I’m the one who believes that Obama hasn’t a chance in hell and that McCain will win in a landslide. I believe that will happen no matter what kind of ads McCain or Obama put out. I haven’t seen the ad you’re talking about and have no intention of seeing it. In fact, since the television hasn’t been on for, geez, at least a year, I have yet to see ANY political ads, by either side. To see one I’d have to specifically search one out, and I have no interest in doing that. The only link I’ve ever followed to watch anything that had anything whatsoever to do with an ad that either Obama or McCain put out is the one Paris Hilton made, just out of curiosity because people said it was funny and I had a hard time believing that (to my surprise, it was funny). I didn’t watch one second of either the Democratic or the Republican convention. I not only haven’t seen one second of Palin video (I’ve only seen stills) I haven’t seen any Obama video since the 2004 Democratic convention. And no, I’m not a disgruntled Hillary supporter, I hate her, and dickhead Bill. The only candidate I could possibly have gotten passionate about is Al Gore, and the fucker didn’t run, so I hate him too now.
I’ll vote, for sure, if only to spitefully and with much malice cancel out my father’s vote. I’ll vote for Obama, since I’d rather gouge my eyes out with red hot pokers than vote for a, any, Republican, but other than that I’m the very definition of apathetic about this election. I learned my lesson about getting passionate about politics in 2004. It’s not worth risking my mental health on something I have no control over. People will vote for whoever they want to, and the winner will be president. Whatever. I happen to think the country isn’t ready for Obama, we haven’t hit rock bottom yet, and so I think McCain will win. If I’m wrong, I’ll be very happy, but I have little doubt that I’m right. Whatever.
So, not being one of the worked-up “folks” you sneeringly referred to, I’ll say it again, and I don’t care if you’re a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, or whatever. I don’t care about your ideology, your race, your creed, your religion or anything else.
