But really it doesn’t even seem like a mistake on his part at all. I bet he was just trying to restate who the “we” is that he is talking about.
It seems he is saying “we passed out of the US Senate Banking Committee”, as in “We passed a bill through the USBC…” then he stops a second and backs up to explain who he means by “WE”.
Seems like he is more trying to share the deed among his entire committee that passed the bill through the Banking Committee. He is making sure you know that “we” includes his entire committee, and not just him or just him and a couple other people. It was passed through the banking committee by “his committee”.
I think that’s what he was saying. Not lying. And not even messing up. Just not speaking as clearly as he intended.
