But Stanley Ann Dunham was a US citizen, right? Doesn’t her citizenship automatically apply to her children irrespective of where she whelps? How is/was this addressed by birthers?

How did Trump get to be a billionaire (a few different times) without the ability to process facts, act on them, and move on? Seems to me if he were so obstinate all the time he’d still be working on his first million. My only explanation is that this is all for show. Like a TV program, for example.
Laws at the time required you to live in the US for 20 or so years before you could pass your citizenship to an out-of-country born child. As Dunham was only 18 when her son was born, had he been born in Kenya he probably wouldn’t have been a natural born citizen (though I’m sure he would’ve been naturalized pretty effortlessly upon Dunham returning to the States).
10 years and 5 years had to be after the age of 16.

US Code at the time would not have given natural born citizen status to a person born outside the US to Dunham due to her having lived outside the US for a certain period of time, or some shit.

On my local news board, much hay is being made over his father’s “African” race. Several Sarah Palin wannabes are claiming that “African” is a nationality, not a race. Others insist it would have said “Negro”.
I read somewhere that the racial identification (African and Caucasian) is based on whatever the parents said. So presumably that’s how his father identified himself.
I understand that he worked for his fathers company, and his first job in college was landscaping for a foreclosed apartment complex that his daddy purchased for him for 5.7 million dollars. I don’t think he made minimum wage.

What about the Obama-mama’s “Caucasian” race? You know where the Caucasus Mountains are, dontcha: the former Soviet Union. That’s right, the president’s mom was a damn Communist furriner!

It was just getting too expensive to keep covering it up. He’d already spent over 60 trillion in legal fees to hide it by last count. He finally ran out of money so he had to release it.
Birthers love to trumpet the “fact” that Indonesian law forbids dual citizenship, so Obama must have renounced his American citizenship!!!11OMG. And of course they don’t bother to check to see that the law actually says that anyone over the age of 18 cannot carry dual citizenship. It’s all a red herring, since they’re assuming that his mother renounced her US citizenship in the first place, instead of living there on a visa.

I guess I can get away with this by not being an American, but I did not previously know that President Obama has the exact same name as his father. Or that there existed women named Stanley.
I’d guess that Mr Dunham wanted a son. I work with a woman named Johnie Jo (she’s goes by JJ).
I thought I remembered this, and the Wiki article says that her father wanted a son, and she was named after him. She eventually started going by her middle name.
