Obama knows how to play politics with the Republicans. Iowa senator Chuck Grassley, who is up for reelection, is the chairman of the judiciary committee. The Des Moines Register recently came out against the refusal to consider Obama’s Supreme Court nominee. First a Republican governor who happens to be Hispanic , now an Iowa judge, who happens to be a woman.
I hope he spends the next four weeks floating names like this and making the GOP release ever more statements that they won’t even consider them.
The GOP really did hand him a “fuck with us for free” card when they said they wouldn’t even consider anyone he proposed, didn’t they?
