Can anybody name this animation;
where a little girl has to wear a red and blue mask and go on an epic quest.
Not much information I know, and I’ve never seen it myself (unless I have, in which case, I have.)
It’s been haunting a friend of mine for the best part of 15 years.
“animation” is too generic a word.
Was this a cartoon or was it anime?
Was it a movie or a half-hour-per-episode series on TV?
There are a lot of places online to look, but if the only details are “girl”, “red & blue mask” and “epic quest” it’s gonna be hard to find, even for the Dope’s anime experts.
Nausicaa! Helluva guess there chap, but I think it’s something more obscure. Maybe French (is that Anime?) circa The Black Cauldron. I think the plot revolves around having to wear the mask, as a curse, or maybe it’s a questing mask… or something.
I’ll contact my buddy and try to dig up more information; but I know there isn’t much. Meanwhile shots in the dark welcome.
Well, The Black Cauldron was released in 1985; should we widen the search from 15 years old to maybe 25 years?
