#OccupyWallStreet

Well at least they’re doing something almost not really useful, as opposed to say, blogging. BLAWG!

If the tea baggers were on wall Street protesting it would be all over the news. They wouldn’t need thousands to get press.

If the hippie left is so laughable why do the Tea Partiers emulate them?

apparently the protest has gone on all week.
Here is some actual information.

Occupy Wall Street Protest Escalates On Eighth Day (VIDEO) | HuffPost New York Now the cops are trapping the women on protest, macing them and arresting them. We know who they work for. It is not the people.

Mutherfucking cops. That cop macing those women is not what I’m paying for.

So… now they’re going to occupy Wall Street by hanging around Union Square?

That totally makes sense. Totally. I mean, it’s IS way closer to the Whole Foods.

Speaking as a raging NYC liberal who wishes her taxes were higher, the fact that Michael Moore, that blowhard lying prick, supports these folks is enough for me to go out of my way to mock them and insult their inane cause of “doing something about something.”

Plan B, then?

“You there, Wall Street! This raping of our economy and plundering old folks pension plans is not very nice! We may be forced to speak quite sternly to you!”

Prezackly - that’s a basic difference in mindset of the foxes that the hedgehogs find it so easy to laugh at. There are so many things that we need to do to make our world a better place that accumulating support to focus on any specific items is difficult. That is easy to deride as disorganization and weak leadership, if your own mindset is so simple that you pretty much just oppose anything the progressives come up with as an improvement.

Yet there’s no disagreement among progressives that they’re all worthy goals, is there? The discussion is only about priorities and implementation in the face of reflexive opposition.

The intended audience of a protest is not necessarily limited to the direct spectators. If a protest can draw a TV audience, or even someone with a webcam and a YouTube account, it can reach the people it needs to much more effectively. Might as well have some fun with it while you’re at it, too, right?

Apparently your life experience is different from mine, but I’ve always found the power of *stubborn *to be much stronger than the power of smart.

And just what was that protest supposed to be? Was it articulatable in any greater factual detail than “You Establishment politicians all suck!”? If that was pretty much it, then your intended audience was entirely justified in hearing it as “I don’t think or carae much, so I don’t matter, and you can just ignore me”. Which is what happened.

Yes it is. It has always been so. Their function is to keep the people quiet, even if they have to kill a few of them.

It’s what I’m paying for. Mace them like crazy.

Well, yes, the cop is there to protect you. From her.

Oh come on. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a couple hippie girls on their knees, screaming.

Good clean fun.

Man, what the fuck is that matter with you?

There’s a line between funny and just plain offensive, Scylla, and you crossed it at a good 180mph and so far haven’t looked back.

If you were to learn that there was no mace involved – that the female protesters feigned their reaction in order to make it appear as though the police had used mace on them – what would your reaction be?

These two posts this morning got me to go take a look at some outside links:

The first is from a thread on concentration camps in WWII and is about a Japanese diplomat who saved thousands of lives by issuing travel visas to Jews, and the second is the video of the cop macing those two girls who were just standing there.

It’s really hard to comprehend how two people - the cop and the diplomat - can be so different. How one can be such a great person and the other such a worthless piece of shit, not on the basis of any talent or gifts or intelligence or any of the measures that we’re so used to judging people by, but simply by the basis of their respect for human life and dignity.

It’s a fucked up world, and it’s hard to understand how one person ends up being the guy who saves thousands of lives and then doesn’t even tell his next door neighbors and how one person gets his kicks from using a position of authority to assault and terrorize young women. Unbelievable.

And if you were to learn that the police were beating people with batons without provocation, what would your reaction be? And what if the batons had nails in them? And instead of protesters they were beating blind nuns holding orphan kittens?

Are you just asking the question, or is there some actual information and maybe a link you’d like to share with us, Bricker?

Reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Sm7KhzWv1w

Outraged.

More outraged.

Now how about answering my question?
