Well, thats only a zero, and zeros mean nothing!
Wherever did you come across this fascinating “story”, Scylla? Do hamster porn sites link to Fox?
No, you’re not right-wing at all. “Hippies” and “trust fund babies” aren’t conservative stereotypes of the OWS protesters in any way. How foolish of me. You’re a fucking right-wing apologist. Stop being a pussy by trying to play the nonpartisan card and own it. I’m liberal. See how easy that is?
As far as the rocks, bottles and M-80s, again, you’re taking the police chief’s justifications for use of force as truth. I’d love to see the video showing this occurred.
They threw paint on them? Arrest them. Tear gas and violence are hardly a necessary response.
Did you, by any chance, see the footage of that Iraq war vet who got hit in the face? And, when people rushed over to help him, the cops threw a tear gas canister right into them? Because there’s actually video of that. That’s the kind of bullshit you’re sticking up for. After being gassed and shot with rubber bullets, they’re lucky all that happened was a broken cruiser window. If this had actually been such a violent mob, they’d have been really tearing shit up. Before you ask another dumb-ass question: Yes, it was wrong of them to break that window. Not nearly as wrong, IMO, as committing violence upon citizens, though.
Well… I found the story on Fox News.
I’m surprised you failed to deduce hat, Sherlok
There WAS no story! The fact that you still believe that the O’Keefe/Breitbart “story” was accurate only confirms to me that you’re totally lost behind the Red Curtain. Seriously, I’m disgusted with you. You redeemed yourself from your 9/11 psychotic break with the self-waterboarding which seemed to make you realize that the US government was, after all, torturing people. That appears to have worn off. I’m done with you…no amount of going back and reminiscing over Nazi Groundhogs and Attack Blimps is going to make me see you in a good light again. Which is a shame, since I do know that you are, in some aspects, a good person just from the way you talk about your daughter. But your adherence to an evil political faction (and to me, it IS evil…it’s a faction that wants me dead and/or profoundly changed just due to who I love) seems complete.
Marine veteran. So after the cops brain him with a teargas projectile, one of Oakland’s finest lobs a flashbang into the crowd of people who went back into the gas to help him. You know, because they’re an unruly mob.
They’re claiming it was a tear gas canister, not a flash bang, but really, it doesn’t matter either way. It’s a scumbag, thuggy move.
I’m sorry to hear that. I recognize that the occasional Jew hater who shows up at something like occupy does not speak for the entire movement. I’m sorry you think republicans in general wish to kill or change you.
I respect the rights of people to belong to other political affilliations besides my own. I try to judge them on the qualities they display rather than by what i[/ choose to associate with a label.
The thing that’s disturbed me the most about modern liberalism is its insistence on absolutes. Any philosophy or polical movement so contemptuous of dissent becomes a danger to the freedoms of all. It’s seeking of scapegoats to vilify for all the ills of society is another trait with scary istorical precedent currently being displayed by he occupy group.
Finally, they really are just a bunch of useless, ignorant assholes. The fact that hey’ve hung around for a month or two is no more a sign of virtue than it would be in Ali gering staph infection
Because it’s not some fringe people! It’s in the fucking party platform! It’s touted as a virtue by the goddamn Republican presidential candidates! It’s voiced by a vast majority of Republican politicians! The abrogation of gay rights is a basic part of the foundation of the modern Republican party!
If you’re that blind, I have to pity you more than be angry with you.
What’s the weather like in Bizarro World? Unless those were (more) typos, and you meant to write “conservatives” and “the Tea Party group”.
Really? I know no Democrat showed up in favor of gay marriage. I am not aware of any Republican presidential candidate who wants to take away gay rights. Can you show me a link?
I know Clinton signed Doma, and I know that before his death Goldwater, a Republican was a strong advocate for gay rights, and, iirc Arizona had an openly gay republican governor, and Log cabin republicans actually on a case to repeal don’t ask, don’t tell.
In fact, I don’t know any Republicans personally hat have nothing against gays.
I don’t. I don’t thinker Bricker Shodan, or any other republican does, so no, I think your accusation is greatly exaggerated.
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter does it? You eel Republicans are anti-gay. I’m a Republican. In your eyes it oesn’t matter what I actually think or believe. I’m guilty by association.
This is hat I mean by the scary intolerance.
Oh, would you stop. No one want to kill you. You’re both paranoid and deluded. Stop being such a cartoonish drama queen, wouldya? Sheesh.
When the audience boos a gay soldier asking to repeal DADT at a Democratic debate, you might have a valid rebuttal to jayjay. “Nobody I know hates gays” isn’t exactly proving a point.
p.s. Are you drunk or something?
Why do you ask if I’m drunk?
You’ve never heard of Michele Bachmann? Rick Santorum? Romney and Perry have both signed the National Organization for Marriage’s pledge to sponsor a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
If you can’t see that the Republican Party is officially anti-gay, and, in fact, couldn’t have any kind of electoral victory without its legions of right-wing Christian homophobes voting for it, I can’t help you. I don’t believe that you, personally, are homophobic or anti-gay. I don’t remember what your stance on marriage equality is. But the fact is that you support a party that IS anti-gay, even though the party leadership may be seeing the tide turning on that and may be making noises to kind of quiet down on the whole thing…they can’t do that and still get the evangelical/fundamentalist votes. And they know that.
I don’t care if the party stance is heartfelt or whether it’s cynical vote-pandering. It affects me the same way.
Sadly, Violence against gays is real.
Because you’ve got typos all over the place.
Really? While “kill the gays” isn’t the Republican party platform, it is the platform of some of their supporters. And “make the gays second-class citizens and hopefully force them back into the closet” is only a LITTLE better.
Oh please. How many self-identifying Republicans do you think want to kill gays? You’ve entered cartoonland.
Vastly more than the number of self-identifying Democrats who want to do so.
