Of course the most suspicious thing is the timing of this “news”. Soon enough to throw a monkey monkey wrench into the election, and late enough that there’s almost certainly not enough time to disprove (or prove, for that matter) or even seriously investigate the charges before the election.

Maybe it has something to do with this: Famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred will be in a Boston area courtroom Wednesday in an attempt to unseal the sworn testimony given by Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, in a prior court case, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
According to TMZ, Romney was “heavily involved” in the ugly, years long divorce between the cofounder of Staples, Tom Stemberg, and his first wife Maureen. Romney was deposed and testified at their divorce trial. Now someone involved, possibly Maureen, wants to lift the gag order on the trial. The Boston Globe is going to court Weds morning to try to unseal the court papers too.
I wonder if Trump’s big announcement is hoping to distract from all this. I have no idea if the Globe will succeed but I think it’s almost worse for Romney if they don’t.
