As we moved in I found a few photo negatives on the back of a closet shelf. They were of at least two woman in various exposed spread legged positions on the couch. The women weren’t looking sexy; it was almost like he’d grabbed a camera in the middle of some sexual activity and surprised them… The seller’s reputation with the real estate agent was “He’s a weird dude…”
Actually, the inspectors did take a lighter to it, and it turned out not to erupt in flames. But, in case you wanted to see a photo, here it is from the inspection report.
(Further recon on the property seemed to reveal that the current seller was most likely not responsible for the “insulation,” but rather the person who sold it to him back in the mid-2000s. I happen to know the neighbors and they were able to tell me that one of the original owners worked for a fast food packaging company.)
