Odin Vs. A 26-Ton Tank. Aesir lord Loses.

What?
A different Odin?
But I thought…
But a real tank, right? OK.
Through the where?

OUCH! That must be…distressing.

Oh well…here’s the link.

Traffic could be worse…no it couldn’t.

The real outrage here is clueless reporters calling a 26 ton AFV a “tank.”

Do not impugn the name of the All-Father.

I know Vassbotna, and Vasbotna is no Valhalla.

Another advantage of larger nations (USA, Canada, etc.): you can do your wargames without giving a taste of it to the civilians.

OTOH these are the descendants of the Vikings – they should be able to take a little armed mayhem in their driveways

“Lost control after hitting a patch of ice” . Wonderful, now whoever makes their armor is going to hit the Ministry of Defense for umphteen-billion selling them the new model with optional Automatic Traction Control…

Wise words indeed.

I think the important question is- where was Heimdall when this happened? I want to know how an AFV crosses Bifrost without him noticing.

Well, you know, there’s a big difference between Heimdall noticing and him actually doing something about it. Maybe he just smiled and waved at the AFV crew, muttering “This’ll teach that bastard to Bogart all the mead.”

To be fair, even to some semi-clued people the CV90 may look a lot like one unless they look close, as seen in this page from the Scandinavian Armor website (pictures at bottom of page). (I’m telling ya, the web’s got some fun stuff all over). Of course, park it next to the Leopard and there’s little room for confusion.

I’d worry also about the Leopard who accidentally flattened a Mercedes in a roadway.

My favorite line from the article:

" It has not been good week for Norwegian tank drivers."

I imagine a Norwegian Armor Colonel or two will be offered new jobs inventorying toilet paper & pickled herring cases in some musty warehouse…
