Of Christoper Nolan's 11 films which do you believe is the best?

I’d say there are three Nolans involved. Christopher’s wife Emma has been the producer and script supervisor on most of her husband’s films.

I did what now?

You were not threadshitting by posting that you don’t like them because the way you posted was not in a jerk-like way, but rather an informed opinion way.

I misinterpreted your comment as snark. My aside was not self-referential. As an unabashed Nolan fan I certainly don’t think disliking Tenet makes my post a threadshit any more than informed criticism of Interstellar’s plot holes is one. There’s quite a few posts upthread that maybe would have been better had the commenter just not clicked reply on, that’s what I was alluding to.

If this is to me, I apologize.

The top three films voted best of his 11 all have gimmicks he had nothing to do with, but those are a strong 11 so he must bring some magic.

Honestly I was being glib. It wasn’t you and the offending posts were 6 months ago, it’s not like it cratered the thread. No biggie.

Perhaps if anything it’s a meta-commentary on the board moderation, but that’s just me being a smart ass. Probably should have just bit my tongue.

The Prestige is one of my favorite films. It gets better with every rewatch. It has two amazing performances, especially when you go back and realize that Christian Bale is playing two different characters trying to act like the same person. I liked the story it told about obsession and revenge. It has a lot of elegant hints and foreshadowing that you notice on the second (or later) viewing. There’s sort of a meta-elegance in that the structure of the plot sort of resembles the structure of a magic trick. One of his least viewed films but probably his best.
