In today’s single-panel comic strip Off the Mark, the caption reads:
“Cindy - Lou Who, Doctor Who, The Who, and the Guess Who seeing who’s in *Who’s Who.” *
What I’d like to know is: assuming the man in the bow tie is Doctor Who, who is who among the others?
Clockwise from left: Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, John Entwistle and Roger Daltrey of the Who; Garry Peterson, Domenic Troiano, Bill Wallace [guess by process of elimination], and Burton Cummings of the Guess Who; and of course Cindy Lou Who holding the book.
The guys on the left are The Who (Pete Townhend in front, John Entwistle behind him, Keith Moon behind him. Roger Daltrey is behind Dr. Who (the 11th doctor, Matt Smith…pretty much))
The guys on the right are Guess Who. I’m guessing Jim Kale in front, Burton Cummings with the hat, Garry Peterson with the glasses and Kurt Winter with the blonde hair. Hard to tell tho, they had a new lineup every year.
The little girl is Cindy-Lou Who from “The Grinch”.
Thanks.
They should have included a guy in a baseball uniform.
And let’s not forget Dr. Margaret Chan.
Naturally.
Okay, so I go out and take a picture of Naturally.
Concur. Certainly for BC and GP, though it seems to me it should be one of the Randy Bachman-including lineups, neither of the other two really look enough like him.
The hat guy would definitely be Domenic Troiano–he always wore a hat or beret to hide his baldness. See this promo shot. That would peg it as the 1974-75 lineup, although the cartoonist drew Burton Cummings (front) with the shaggy hairstyle he had circa 1970.
Or Inspector Michelle Chan.
What?
