Office for medical complaints?

Apologies to all about my post on medicine substitutions being put in GD. I thought I put it in GQ.

Thanks to the moderators who so far have not closed down this thread. Well, they did close it down, I just learned now on trying to post this reply, as I thought it would continue in GD which I had not intended it to be.

Now, if I may impose upon the patience of our doctors here and others more informed, may I just know where I can go for my first question at the bottom of my original post, namely:

Is there some kind of government office or from some medical association whose only work is to review the medicines and medical procedures or routines prescribed by doctors to a medicine consumer, on the request of this consumer, in order to point out what safer, better, or more economical alternatives or substitutes are available?

About going back to the doctor to ‘question’ his prescription or diagnosis, it is very irksome for many an ordinary person who has already in the first instance put his trust in a particular doctor; and besides, I for one would not want to put myself in the place of the doctor who is being ‘questioned’ by a patient who motu proprio came to me.

As I said in another thread: I myself will see doctors when I am in an emergency and specially in a life-threatening situation – and hope they don’t know about my attitude here. Would they be affected disfavorably against me should they know my opinions here? Now, this is the time for them to be the saints we expect them to be.

Anyway, anyone know of any office which I refer to above? May I just hear from the doctors if any there be here, or others who are more knowledgeable about medical offices?
