Whenever my machine wakes from hibernation, both Word and Excel attempt to load speech recognition files. As the MS Office disc is not loaded, it cannot find the files. How can I get this to stop? I don’t recall trying to install this feature, but I may have done it unintentionally. Thanks.
Sorry, should’ve mentioned this is XP Pro SP2, Office 2002.
Most likely you selected that portion of office to be installed when required and something is triggering the install. To prevent this you can reinstall office and be sure to mark that option as Not Available (might be wordered differently) when you do it.
