Van Jones is an awesome lawyer, activist, organizer, and thinker. Well into a successful and important career, he worked for the Obama administration for a year, then was sadly pushed out as part of the fruitless appeasements to Republican critics.
Among other highlights during the CNN post-debate discussion, Jones vociferously and eloquently attacked Trump for his lack of patriotism (in refusing to express faith in the electoral process).

I have a poor track record with this (I said Trump won the first debate, and the second was a draw) but I thought Hillary absolutely trounced Trump in this debate. He simply did nothing he needed to do to change the direction of the race. The same accusations of Hillary, Bush II, Clinton (and now Reagan) being a disaster and making bad deals, and how he will Make America Great Again, and scowling, sniffing, and insulting. Hillary was mostly positive, and if I wasn’t a conservative, she would have won my vote.
Does he only surround himself with yes men or is he simply incapable of taking advice?

No, Van Jones claimed you couldn’t polish that specific turd. It was Anderson Cooper who pointed out that you couldn’t polish any turd, really.
I should have added that Jones is perhaps best known for his urban green ideas and activism – things like incentivizing environmentally friendly product manufacturing, construction, and urban agriculture, in ways that also help the underemployed, people of color, and victims of environmental injustice.

Even Foxnews is running the unwillingness to accept the results as their lead story. I’d say I was impressed, but it probably has more to do with the hint that trumptv is now their competitor.

As others have pointed out, even without it he didn’t do enough because fighting Clinton to a tie isn’t good enough when you’re seven points behind with 20 days to go. But that alone lost him a point in the polls. Stick a fork in him.
