Yeah, all stuff that will probably be discussed only at the most superficial level and of course ignores a myriad of real issues that have gotten buried under the Studio Wrestling events these things have become. Brian Williams on MSNBC just made a snarky comment about ‘not sullying the debate with discussion of actual issues’, and I’ve got to agree.

The Founders’ words mean what we interpret them to mean, because we always interpret texts to understand them. I hate that rhetorical trick, as it tries to frame the conservative position as the “correct” one because it supposedly doesn’t “interpret” the words.
