Can I just say that this particular offspring is a bastard?
Another whimsical guess. They played a song he really liked and then went right to the commercial without identifying the artist. I know I hate that.

Did the radio announce that the petrol price had been increased by 500%?

I think we need to make a new rule regarding these three minute mysteries.

If you have a life, or if you have to do things like Go To Work, then you can’t post a three minute mystery.

After all, the rest of us who waste our whole day goofing on the net, can’t stand to wait on you people that only post answers to your mysteries “When they have time”. What’s that all about?

Was the man driving a regular car?
Was the man driving a stolen vehicle?
Did the man realize he was going to die anyway? Some horrible death perhaps?
Would anyone else commit suicide over this aftering what he heard on the radio?

Did the man start a 3 minute mystery, then leave without finishing it, and realize enraged SDMBers were tracking him down to sadisticly torture him, and death was preferable?

It is too clear, and so it is hard to see.

Maybe he heard Orson Welles’ famous War of the Worlds broadcast and thought his hometown had just been eaten by Martians.

Think about it–it’s not real news, it’s not a normal broadcast, it was an unusual interruption…

Oops. I deeply apologize for skimming previous posts to quickly.

What does she mean, though, that it was and was not a song?
