My take on the confusion joke:

There’s nothing inherently confusing in the ink. The confusing part is, “Who the fuck booby traps their vagina?” The monk doesn’t get this, though, and thinks there’s some sort of magical or chemical effect that has her confused.

That’s how I took it; the warrior woman 's reaction is basically “say what?!”

I had to google to get the mouseover; “and she was gone, like the mysterious sea hare”. I thought the clouds of ink bit was a squid reference.

I think that Greir/Mercenary Girl/Warrior Woman/Wandering Swordswoman needs to end up confronting Bandit Girl/We Fear Bees Thief someday. Don’t particularly care what happens or whether or not they’d get it on, but that would make an interesting encounter just on a person-to-person basis.

I’m delighted to know now that “Bandit Girl” is actually named “Vanka”.
