Oglaf appreciation thread - very NSFW - hilarious pornographic webcomic

Yea, that’s how I read it too, though I also think gaffa has a really good point as well.

Hence the “spool winding”.

I think they’re also making fun of his “tidiness” of language. Given their style of talking in parody, and his response at the end being “this is an enormous slur…” rather than something more crude or vulgar is their way of mocking him and passing the time.

Maybe they’re even plotting to “get out on good behavior” by saying that they were mistreated/raped by the guard, and they’re just practicing his “proper” way of speaking to make it sound more believable?

Eh, it’s 5am, I’m going to quit trying to think now and go to bed.

Either way, it made me laugh, and I’m still here and enjoying reading every week

In any quasi-mediaeval society that would fly about as far as a paralyzed ostrich… :dubious:

Perhaps. But they did rather enjoy throwing animals long distances with catapults back then too… :smack:

That was my take, as well. More particularly, they dislike him because they haven’t been able to use sexy shenanigans to trick him into releasing them. So they’re mocking him by acting out what it must be like to have sex with such tidy, conscientious guard.

Kind of a weak strip, but “I’m strewing shit around like raccoons got in there,” makes the whole thing worthwhile.

OK, you and pricciar have convinced me.

What I like best is that there is more than one way to interpret this episode. There is funny enough here for me.

And I recall a fair number of installments before the Ivan/ Navaan arc, of varying degrees of hilarity. The drama tag wasn’t irrevocably pulled, but the switch may have been in the ON position for a while.

I believe she has perfectly captured the spirit of the season:

I believe she has perfectly captured the spirit of “What. The. HELL??!!” But then, I’m a Monty Python fan as well. Merry Whatever!

Fist bump- for great justice!

I asked previously about whether there really were “secret pages”, and went a-googling again. No luck finding any secret pages, but some had suggested that the Epilogue pages were the secret pages.

I had never noticed the Epilogue pages before.

So for anyone else who never noticed, some of the stories have an epilogue page that you don’t get to if you just click Next Page. For example, in the Shaft and Salome stories, below the link to Archive, there’s a link to the Epilogue page.

And the Saturnalia update has apparently become a secret page. Yeah, I saw it too, but the previous comic and next comic links skip over it now, and the direct link fails.

Well, OK, can someone explain the punchline of this one to me then?
“Hey! You found the crocodile and it bit your leg off! Keep up the good work!”
Or did anybody get a different punchline out of it that I managed to miss?

I took the last panel to mean he had successfully seduced the crocodile, even though he lost a leg in the process.

Yeah, that’s the joke. It’s playing off this internet meme.

Ah… OK, thanks.

I don’t think it’s an Internet meme; it’s a human meme. Or possibly a multicellular-organism meme.

I think this week’s is pretty funny. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

No penises or boobs though. :frowning:

“On the plus side, I lied about it never sleeping.”

I lol’ed.

Nice callback.

Hey,yeah! I forgot about that.
