I was halfright - it’s not that there’s anything especially significant, but Navaan came up with a creative way to use blood in interrogation. And it looks like she may need to save the day, because for once Grier is actually in trouble.
Grier is too sober and literal to beat something that’s the monster version of the Joker. Navaan’s screwball take is definitely needed.
This is going to be fun. I thought what was going to happen was that Navaan (in her ditzy way) was going to get sidetracked by blood and sex and get nowhere while Grier (in her efficient and ruthless way) was going to defeat the Funsnake. Happy to be wrong.
Were there any clues available to Navaan to indicate that the prisoner was being duplicitous, or was Navaan’s decision to interrogate deeper just down to her scepticism generally? She didn’t seem to be suspicious of the prisoner’s story initially, and it was only when the monk came up with the ghoul costume that she seemed to decide to interrogate further, on a whim.
