If you knew her and have or have been about to do her this would be pretty funny, if if she’s some random woman off the street then it is either a great pick up line, or really crazy-creepy.
I’m just starting to read the strip, starting from the beginning. Is it common for very long loading or connection times between pages? The rest of my (Chrome) browsing is normal, but the oglaf site is frustratingly slow.

He needs someone to tell the story to, and something to occupy himself, despite his naive lack of talent or skill, so he breaks into the Cobbler’s in desperation to fulfil both needs.
I got that bit. I just thought that the banging shoes was some kind of visual pun I didn’t get. Like a sexual metaphor, misinterpreted by the guy because he doesn’t know anything about sex.
“Knocking boots” is a euphemism for sex.

I suppose it’s somewhat unstated in the Orpheus myth but I’d always assumed Eurydice would have been alive if she had been brought out of the underworld successfully. So that wouldn’t really have made Orpheus a necrophile, really.
He’s pretending he’s come to get his lover back, but at this point it becomes clear that he’s actually just trying to get any attractive dead chick back, because he doesn’t even know what skin colour he’s looking for.
And her hair… shall be what color pleases God.
