Well, the Greek would be more appropriate, given the Amazons existed in Greek legends well before Latin became important. >_>
But I’m not really sure what the Greek word for warrior is, nor how to begin feminizing nor pluralizing it.
So, from my Latin knowledge, I’d say Bellatrices. (I’m not entirely sure if I’m pluralizing right, but the Latin for a female warrior is Bellatrix.)

Ok, some quick searching finds that warrior is Middle English<Old North French in derivation, and Greek for warrior would be polemistis. (Polemical is almost a direct synonym with belligerent).
Is anyone having trouble viewing the comic these days? The last two or three weeks, I’ve gotten a message that says “CSRF Verification Failed” when I click on “I’m over 18” to view the comic. I’m using Chrome on Windows 7.
I’m with Firefox, but I get the 403 error with both it and Chrome

Hrm, ok I tried just googling Oglaf, got oglaf.com with no more www. and…it seems to be working now, even with my old link.

no problems here (using oglaf.com, not www.oglaf.com).
www.oglaf.com works for me.
I agree it’s a cookie issue; I get the same “403 Forbidden” error when I visit oglaf.com (with or without the www), but when I reload, it comes up normally. When I clear the site’s sessionid cookie, I get the 403 error again.
So if you’ve visited, clicked the “over 18” button, and haven’t cleared the cookie, the page will load without error. If you get the error, just reload and it should work properly.

Is there ever going to be a story arc again? I really miss the longer episodes with recurring characters. All these one-pagers are just…unsatisfying, like too much snack food.

And she can’t draw bears for shit, either, notwithstanding a whole bunch of other drawing attesting to some serious cartoon chops.
Yeah, those kinda sucked if they’re supposed to be actual talking bears. At least the devil bear and his wife in “Ulric the Just” are recognizably bears, if still not exactly the best-drawn bears in the universe.
But those aren’t bears in the comic, they’re magical talking bear prostitutes. Have you ever seen a magical talking bear prostitutes? No? Well, then how do you know she didn’t get them exactly right? :dubious:
Apparently they can also be ordinated ;).
As we saw in Queen of Spring, Cooper can draw a realistic looking bear when she wishes to do so.
