Oh boy, someone help me ! (Ebay related)

So bored at work one day, I decided to peruse Ebay looking for some older games that I had fond memories of but never did beat / traded in to get whatever shiny new game was then out. Currently, I have the means to just go ahead and buy new games period, and keep the older ones for nostalgia.

In browsing, I found one that I had sorely missed (since I got so pissed at it, that I went and traded it in). Some of you might remember it… Azure Dreams for the PS1. Well sure enough that turned into let me just look and see what else they have out there…I now have 5 outstanding bids on other games I haven’t seen in more than 7 years. HELP!

Or, instead of helping, share some other stories about nostalgia fixes you’ve hit upon thanks to sites like this.

Aaah, Azure Dreams.

An excellent little gem for the PS1.

No stories on Ebay, just fond memories of the game.

Are you getting great deals if you win as they stand? If so, send me the links, I’ll outbid you, and settle for a good deal.

Hah, I already got Vagrant Story for $35 bucks, and I stumbled upon Persona 3 new in a store near me (seems to go for $100 +). I’m holding tight to my deals!!! (though, if you liked Legend of Dragoon, some company is selling it for about $15 bucks still sealed, shipping and insurance figured into that total)

Heh… eBay is dangerous.

I collect Thundercats and Silverhawks. I’ve been buying them on eBay since before it was eBay. There was a point about two years ago when someone was putting a bunch of scripts and early art and stuff up. I bid on several. My mom bid on several. We managed to snag two. I know the bastard that won most of them. In fact, when I found out, I yelled at him for it (well, typed loudly at him. He lives across the country from me.) I wish I could’ve bought more stuff, because now all the rare stuff is gone.

Now I’m buying kimono stuff. Kimono is expensive. Obi-jime (the cord that goes across the belt) can be $30 each. It’s a freaking cord! Why is it so much?! Most of my kimono were less than that!

My advice: set a budget. Make sure you take shipping into account in that budget. Give yourself a limit of how much you’ll spend on each game (you won’t always follow it, but you can try)
