Oh, my God, I am soooo tired, or Thea juggles working with being a full-time student

So, I started massage therapy school. Yay, me.

Except I also have this job thing. Oy vey.

My manager just approved me to cut back to four days a week, so at least between working and going to school, I won’t be putting in a seven-day week, but the schedule is still taking a lot out of me.

Good news is, I aced my first two tests, got 97% on the third (yay me again). Oh, yeah, and I get a massage four days a week- see, the students practice on each other.

And the school pays for my certification exams, which is very cool since getting a license to be an MT is a very expensive proposition in the County that is Clark. See, they just assume that you go to school for seven months and spend all that time (and money) learning anatomy and physiology so you can become a hooker.

Actually, the rather stringent licensing requirements for MT’s in the County that is Clark have more to do with politics than prostitution. The State of Nevada does not require MT’s to be licensed. Also, interestingly, it is illegal to give/get a cross-gender massage in a hotel room or private home in the County that is Clark, but hiring a totally-nude outcall dancer in the same hotel room or private home is A-OK.

Anyhoo, two days a week, I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning, be at school by 8:00, then after five hours, go home, change clothes, then work from 3:00 until midnight. All of this on about an hour of sleep, since I’ve gotten adjusted to working swing shift and have a hard time getting to sleep before about four in the morning.

Fortunately, the evening classes mirror the day classes, so I can go at night on my days off and get in some extra sleep.

But, God, I am tired…

It is only 7 months my friend your body will adjust and things will start to smooth out.

Good to know your alive and well

I know what you mean - I did the same. It is tough, but when you finish it is SOOOO worth it! It was in college that I learned the joy of naps.

Sending warm thoughts and support your way.
