I looked at my calendar at what day of the week April 1’d fall on, and found…
NOOOOOOO! IT’S ON A SUNDAY!!! (breaks down, crying) This means that I won’t get to do something cruelly funny to my friends. Every year, I plan my April Fools’ prank, and every year, I carry it out with success. But I’ll be at home, sleeping, on that day, not getting belly-laughs at the gullibility of my friends!
I need a hug, a barrel of gunpowder and some 200-proof liquid bread…
According to not only my “Far Side, Last Impressions” desk calendar, but my official New York Mets game schedule, April first is a Monday (Mets home opener, against Pittsburgh, 1:10).
Mayhap Redukter is attempting a little early April Foolery???
Nice try, though.
My computer’s clock agrees with what Dave just said. At least the part about it falling on a Monday…
Damn. I can’t pull any pranks on my bro, he’ll be at school on Monday. And it’s his birthday. Pity him. Though I paid for the prank last year. Stupid relighting candles…
hey, 9YNH), just where abouts are you betwixt Harrisburg and Filthydelphia? I ask because I dive quite a bit at Willow Springs, which is sort of half way betwixt Harrisburg and the city of Brotherly Love.
Are you doubting that the Mets play the Pirates at Shea on 4/1 at 1:10? All you have to do is check out their website. The schedule’s right there.
spritle, Um, I don’t think I’m too close to Willow Springs, but I know o them. I’m about 15 minutes from Reading, and that’s as close as I’m gonna say on the boards, not that I don’t trust you guys, but there is lurkers.
Great. April Fool’s Day. I’ll be taking that day off.
The good news:
April Fool’s Day is my birthday! (really, it is!) So you’ll have all day free to do nice things for me!
Um, yeah, I already said that. In fact, since Shea Stadium is on the East Coast, it will be played before the Angels game on the Left Coast. (Well, I’m assuming it’s being played in California. Playing baseball in Cleveland in early April sounds like a hideous proposition, temperature-wise)
And I may even get home in time to watch most of it on TV!
Either way, I got my radio in my truck, and most of the afternoon free.
BASEBALL SEASON! Eee-har!
Still, I’d like to know just what the OP was intending…
