Sorry to read it Whammo. Hang in there.
I am so very sorry to hear about your four-footed family member {{{{{{whole family}}}}}}}}
Does anyone know what ended up happening to the poor cat?
Sorry about your cat, my thoughts are with you and the cat.
I feel for ya man. I love cats, I couldn’t imagine having to deal with one of them dying.
Oh, no, I’m so sorry to hear about your cat.
I got tears in my eyes here, I really hope he makes it.
Your animals becomes a part of the family and it hurts much
when something like this happeneds.
I hope so much he will be fine.
Here’s a hug from me,
(((((((((kram)))))))))
Poor Max! I hope he gets well, Whammo. If it makes you feel any better, cats can take a HUGE amount of physical damage and live. One of my cats (when I still lived at home) was once hit by a car, and had a fractured skull. I mean, the entire skull above his right eye, and then 2 inches up, was shattered and dented inwards. Amazingly, it had no braain damage. He also had a broken pelvis and a broken back leg, as well as multiple huge cuts that basically exposed its internal organs. I thought it was gonna die then and there.
Two weeks later, it was walking around again, and after another two, it was fully healed.
The swollen kidneys might be temporary, and a cat can do without its tail just fine - it just won’t climb that good anymore. The claws and tooth are the least of the problems.

:gently strokes Max:
My prayers are with you, Whammo. I hope he’ll pull through soon. Get well, little one.
Sorry for making a late appearance.
Give us an update on how your cat is doing, Whammo. Cats are amazingly resilient.
PS PLease remember to donate old blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, anything that is unsuitable for human use. There are a lot of sick pets at the animal hospitals that would really appreaciate something soft to lie on.
Whammo, I am so, so very sorry. {{{{{Whammo}}}}}

Your OP brought tears to my eyes. My best wishes to Maxwell on a full recovery. Try and stay positive!
re: Michi, PS.
Thanks, that is a great idea i never would of thought of.
Sending positive thoughts your way!
My heart aches for you and your family. I pray for an easing of everyone’s pain. Anyone who says’s it’s just an animal has never been loved by one. I have about 90 pounds of orange and white furry things on my feet as I sit and type this. I know all too well the pain of having a sick & injured pet. If it is any consolation, I once had a cat who seemed hell-bent on self destruction. Every so often he would leave for a few days and come back missing another piece. A bite off the ear here, patch of fur there, hunk of flesh here, piece of tail there-- once an entire eyeball (UGH). Yes he was neutered but just seemed to keep forgetting that part. He lived about 8 never a dull moment years.
so sorry to hear that… cats are the most wonderful creatures on earth. i appreciate them even more since my roomie has a pain in the ass dog who i despise. good luck
God that’s sad. I really hope your kitty turns out ok. I’d die if anything happened to my Sassy or my Nicholas.

WOW! Thank you to everyone for your kind words… that really means so much to me… more then I could express here even.
I have an update on Max.
My GF picked him up from the night clinic this morning to take him to the regular vets for more observation. She said he looked so much better! He had that “there” look in his eyes that wasn’t there yesterday. She said he was reconizing her and moving around and wanting to be petted. The night vet also said that he had been grooming himself some in the night. His urine is still bloody and he can’t really contol his bladder yet… but that could just be from the trauma and swelling. We don’t know about his kidneys yet… the vet today will x-ray and see if the swelling has gone down… I sure hope so.
I feel better knowin that he’s pretty much come back to reality.
I’ll be sure and update when i find out more.
Thanks again guys… your all too sweet.
Good news! Good news!
Zette
