Ohio Songs: help needed

I am going to a wedding in Ohio, and want to make a mix for the car ride involving songs that mention Ohio or cities in Ohio. All I have this far is:

Ohio - CSNY
My City Was Gone - Pretenders
The Cockroach that Ate Cincinnati - Sidewell?

What ya got?

Randy Newman’s “Dayton, Ohio” (think that’s right–“would you like to come over for tea…”) and “Burn on, Big River” (think that’s wrong–“Cleveland, city of lights…”)

“Around the World” by Red Hot Chili Peppers mentions Ohio, and about a dozen other states, in passing.

How about songs by The Ohio Players (“Roller Coaster”) or Eddie from Ohio?

Cleveland Rocks-The Presidents of the United States of America.

It was used as the theme song for the Drew Carey Show.

“Cleveland Rocks” by Presidents of the United States (JINX!)
"Moon Over Parma by Drew Carey
WKRP in Cincinatti theme song

“Toledo” by John Denver.

“Saturday night in Toledo, Ohio is like being nowhere at all…”

Please don’t throw stuff at me, but

*Ohio Is For Lovers * by Hawthorne Heights
or you could go with *Ohio * by Modest Mouse

…or maybe something by Dayton, Ohio’s finest - Guided By Voices

Could always go with the OSU Buckeye fight song.

“Drive, drive on down the field. Men of the scarlet and gray!”

You probably don’t want to include the myriad of songs about the Kent State Shootings, such as Neil Young’s “Ohio.” That would kind of be a downer.

Jimmy Buffett “Fins”: “She came down from Cincinnati.”

Or how about the original by Ian Hunter?

Or the informal fight song, “Hang on Sloopy.”

And let us not forget The Banks of the Ohio – great choice for a drive to a wedding!

If you can dig up the original single version of “Jocko Homo” by Devo, there’s…

I’ve got a rhyme that comes in a riddle: (O-hi-o!)
What’s round on the ends, high in the middle? (O-hi-o!)

The theme to “Goodbye, Columbus”.

“(Why Oh Why Did I Leave) Ohio”, from the musical “Wonderful Town”.

Randy Newman’s “Cleveland Of MY Dreams”, the theme to “Major League”.

Frankie Yankovic’s “Euclid Vets Polka”.

Oh, of course - the state song, best played as a piano solo, “Beautiful Ohio”. Kinda pretty, really.

There’s a passing mention of Cleveland in Huey Lewis & The News’ “Heart of Rock & Roll”

The proper OSU trifecta is: the fight song, Sloopy, and Carmen Ohio (the OSU alma mater). I’ve lived here 25 years (next week  ) and don’t really know the words to any of these. But I know they’re important.

OSU has 2 fight songs, you need them both. “Across the Field” and “Buckeye Battle Cry”.

Maybe not so informal as you think: It’s the State of Ohio’s Official Rock Song, as declared by the legislature.

Gillian Welch, “Look at Miss Ohio”
R.E.M., “Cuyahoga”
Bruce Springsteen, “Youngstown”
The Euclid Beach Band, “There’s No Surf in Cleveland”
Scott Walker, “Lights of Cincinnati”
The Silos, “Tennessee Fire” (“we’re leaving you tonight, Ohio…”)
Uncle Tupelo, “Sandusky” (an instrumental, I grant you)
