She believes in teaching creationism. She thinks the Founding Fathers said the Pledge of Allegiance. The church she attends had a “Jews for Jesus” sermon three weeks ago. She threw her daughter to the media wolves (there were other ways to handle that and btw, the National Enquirer takes credit for pressuring the announcement from the McCain camp…it had nothing to dowith blogs).

This is a short list. She’s a hypocrite. And did I mention she’s a motherfucking liar? Because she fucking is one, and that’s not just slander spread by blogs or Obama-bots. More importantly, I hope you’ll reconsider your vote. Seriously. We’re knee-deep in the worst of the muck, and look at how the Obama campaign is conducting itself. It’s remarkable. If it succeeds, it has the potential to change the way political campaigns are run for decades. If it fails, you won’t see another campaign like it in your lifetime. That’s more important than a 4% tax hike, to me.

Agreed. Right now it’s politics as usual for everyone but the Obama campaign because we don’t know if it’ll work yet. We’re optimistic because he won the primary by being clean, but the general is still up in the air. If McCain wins, it’ll ‘prove’ that politics as usual is the way to go. If Obama wins, folks will take note, and the atmosphere of the 2010 and 2012 elections may well be different what we’ve seen in the last 20 years.

You never could have hoped that people would stop behaving in this manner, and even in Obama was the messiah himself he couldn’t have avoiding the partisan rancor that necessarily accompanies every campaign.

Obama and McCain have both run fairly classy campaigns in my book, but it’s probably best to stick with the people you agree with on the issues.
