OK, Beeyotches, You've Made Up My Mind For Me

Jesus hates poor people. And Muslims. And colored folk. And fags. This is what I’ve learned from Republicans in the past 8 years.

FallenAngel, if that’s the sort of post we’ve all been missing since you stopped posting, then please, go back to lurking. That didn’t do anything except prove what a fucking moron you are, and judging from your tone and this thread, I have a feeling you wanted to really dazzle us with your brilliant (stolen) characterization of Obama.

Also, Obama isn’t the boss of me, and I don’t have to follow his lead or give a flying fuck what he has to say. Sara Palin is an idiot and a motherfucking liar. She lied about being a reformer. She lied about her stance on the “Bridge to Nowhere.” McCain published lists of the most offensive spenders of federal funds, and she made the list 3 times. She abused her power as a governer and as a mayor multiple times. She left Wasilla with 20+ million in debt. She has ties to a seccesionist party (Alaska first!). She believes in teaching creationism. She thinks the Founding Fathers said the Pledge of Allegiance. The church she attends had a “Jews for Jesus” sermon three weeks ago. She threw her daughter to the media wolves (there were other ways to handle that and btw, the National Enquirer takes credit for pressuring the announcement from the McCain camp…it had nothing to dowith blogs).

This is a short list. She’s a hypocrite. And did I mention she’s a motherfucking liar? Because she fucking is one, and that’s not just slander spread by blogs or Obama-bots. That is documented in NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, etc. And there will only be more. She’s a motherfucking liar, a fucking hypocrite, and stupid. And I don’t give a fuck what Obama says, or what his campaign does because that doesn’t change the fact that she’s a piece of shit. I’ll own that opinion.

Meanwhile, Obama has raised nearly $10 million since Palin’s VP candidancy was announced. So I guess they’ll muddle on without Brickers support.

Yeah, you’re right.

What can I say? The whole weight of smug personal attacks on this woman just drove me over the top. It was a foolish post, a foolish thread, and I regret it. I’d ask for it to be closed.

But I doubt it will be, because we have a tradition of letting idiot Pit posters reap their justly deserved rewards.

I am still outraged at the one-sided bashing in this place, but I recognize my reaction was absolutely wrong.

In fact, I recognized it while I was having it, but it didn’t seem to stop me. :frowning:

Hey, I still wuvs ya!

(I mean, seriously, good show old chap.)

Correction – since her speech last night.

Good on you.

Oh, come on.

It’s like an abusive relationship. He builds up your respect, shits all over it, apologizes, and then builds it right back up again.

Get a clue.

And once again Bricker proves he can be a class act.
Perhaps some other time, in a less heated context, we will debate the more general issues of negative campaigning, rumors, message boards, blogs, defensiveness, the media, etc.

More importantly, I hope you’ll reconsider your vote. Seriously. We’re knee-deep in the worst of the muck, and look at how the Obama campaign is conducting itself. It’s remarkable. If it succeeds, it has the potential to change the way political campaigns are run for decades. If it fails, you won’t see another campaign like it in your lifetime. That’s more important than a 4% tax hike, to me.

Agreed. Right now it’s politics as usual for everyone but the Obama campaign because we don’t know if it’ll work yet. We’re optimistic because he won the primary by being clean, but the general is still up in the air. If McCain wins, it’ll ‘prove’ that politics as usual is the way to go. If Obama wins, folks will take note, and the atmosphere of the 2010 and 2012 elections may well be different what we’ve seen in the last 20 years.

I hope you’ll keep your vote with McCain, but for the right reasons.

You know what they are.

Bricker:

I’m with you. I was Obama up until Monday. The left has shown there true colors with this Palin shit. I can’t beleve I bought into that hypocrisy.

And I hope you keep your vote with Obama, but for the right reasons.

You know what they are.

Tender little Bricker, so hypersensitive to feelings. Only his own, of course.

Well see, here’s the other thing, whore. There are plenty of people in this country who believe what happens with fetuses should be decided by the actual people involved, one of whom assuredly is the proud possessor of her very own twat, and maybe their doctor, religious advisor of their choice. You know, deluded schmucks who think they can run their own lives and morality without you or Creationist Barbie’s input. See, it’s called protecting living-right-now people from Big Brother. Of course their moral sensibilities will be never be as refined as yours but they nonetheless think they should still stumble along without your firm guidance.

Yes, because that kind of overarching pride, arrogance, is pure hubris. You rate yourself and your beliefs above other people.

I think your policy has led to countless deaths of real, actual, breathing women who had to drink drain cleaner or shove hangers up their twats to perform an action on their own bodies. They didn’t do it lightly or recreationally. They died in fear and pain and as criminals because of evil, arrogant assholes like you. That’s a cost of overweening pride like yours.

My position will never be a mirror image of yours because you’ve long proven you’re an unprincipled, vicious whore. You don’t give a shit about clean politics or improving government. You don’t respect conservatism or you wouldn’t have pimped it out in the name of forcing other people to live by your religious beliefs. Not theirs; yours. Palin is Creationist Barbie because that’s what she’s made of herself, and the sole reason McCain the whore chose her over so many genuinely principled and better qualified candidates. She’s greatly concerned about what other people do with their twats, including preventing birth control. Oh, and censoring books and trying to fire librarians to prevent people–little, lesser, non-neocon people–from reading ideas she doesn’t personally Her Own Wonderful Self believe in–like evolution.

You are squarely part of the rot that’s infected the GOP from the inside, Bricker. Don’t ask me for respect. You’re a longstanding neocon asshole, and proud of it. You embraced and endorsed the vicious Rove/Bushian attack politics when you celebrated your ‘team’ winning. I don’t care about other peoples’ twats and I don’t care about other peoples’ religion because I expect them to have the basic decency to not shove them in my face. Conservative Christian? Whoopee for you. Thrilled. But your personal beliefs, or Creationist Barbie’s, do not equal a mandate to rule. People making their own moral and religious decisions does not victimize you.

Making a vile mockery of their right to do so makes you a vicious asshole.

I’m done with this thread, and you. You can’t possibly whore yourself out worse than you have over the past years. Over. Piss off and go to the hell you’ve made for yourself.

Yeah. His smile.

Sorry. Couldn’t help it. Thought it was funny. Be going now.

[Jack Chick Tract]“You voted for McCain! There is Nothing but the Lake of Fire for You…!”[/Jack Chick Tract]

"Popcorn! Programs! Can’t tell the Lying Pubbies from the Party Faithful without a Program…!"

Bricker, you really are just railing against human nature here. Human beings are simply incapable of being fair. Psychology’s attribution error, “whose ox is getting gored,” “one man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist,” my signature line from LBJ, etc. and on and on ad nauseum. We’re always more sinned against than sinning, aren’t we.

You never could have hoped that people would stop behaving in this manner, and even in Obama was the messiah himself he couldn’t have avoiding the partisan rancor that necessarily accompanies every campaign.

Obama and McCain have both run fairly classy campaigns in my book, but it’s probably best to stick with the people you agree with on the issues. I’m supporting Obama, but I’ve found a fair bit of entertainment in this thread and I’ll find further humor in a, Bricker told you so, beeyotches! banner ad.

Actually, no matter what the outcome, I think that would make a great ad. I wonder how much it costs. If he doesn’t buy it, perhaps I will.

[sub]Fuck it, you’re not worth it.[/sub]

Or he’s human and he fucks up from time to time, just like everyone else. Forgiveness isn’t weakness.

I’m already on record as saying I think many of the board’s most vocal conservatives are more contrarian than conservative, at least here where there is so much history of animosity between “the usual suspects” and some of the vocal conservatives.

Enjoy,
Steven

Just watched Lindsay Graham (who has done well despite being saddled with the gayest name in American politics) tell me that we have won, or are winning, a great victory in Iraq, despite the sniveling cowardice of Barrack, MoveOn, and me. The last spark of doubt is snuffed.

McCain delenda est.

Gadarene: well, I kinda know what you mean… but, I’m NOT in an abusive relationship with Bricker, he’s just some guy on a message board. So my response to him bears that ‘meh’ factor in mind. But yeah, the ‘keep-apologising-then-do-it-again-ness’ is irritating.

Scylla: if you had actually bothered to READ these last few pages (but hey, you don’t need to… shrill left-wingers… something, something) you’d have seen plenty of people point out to Bricker the stupidity leaving Obama because of what people on some message board Obama’s never heard of say. Now, it was stupid when he said it. When you say it, it doesn’t somehow cancel the stupid. 1+1=2, not 0. But now that Bricker’s kind of retracted his OP, we’re left with a sum of 1 stupid. Which is you, toots.

TVeblen: oh, quit with the pussyfooting (twatfooting?) around, and start telling us what you really think about Bricker!

Bricker: couple of things, both regarding your twat-a-twat with TVeblen

Why do you place so much stock on “personal belief”? Are you prepared to look at evidence for or against the things you believe? (Hey check out FriarTed’s thread in the Pit when you have a mo!) Laws exist to protect human beings. Now, why should human beings be protected by laws?
That’s a semi-rhetorical question. I think they should be, just as much as you do. But I’m asking, why? What traits do humans have, that they deserve legal protection, in a way that rabbits, trees, rocks, bacteria and symphonies don’t?
You’re smart enough to see where I’m going with that question… so choose your traits carefully.

Second thing: I’m certainly willing to put the contents of this thread behind me… except in so far as several reminders came up of your previous behaviour. Vebs says it best:

I remember that, and it sure wasn’t pretty, and you don’t seem the slightest bit repentant, either for your vote back in 2004, or your conduct on the SDMB shortly after. What’s changed since then, that non-mudslinging politics has become so dear to you? Hypothetical: if the umpty-mumth amendment hadn’t passed, and Bush/Cheney were running again… what would you do?
