OK everybody-encourage me, support me, kick my ass!

Hang in there Dave!! If a spineless son of a bitch like myself can do it, it should be a piece of cake for a guy like you!!

Dave, you da man!

If you will let me, I’d love to take a day. Next Tuesday, the 21 of November. (With your permission, of course)

I’ll give you a back rub to ease out any tension and take your mind off everything if you let me.

I know somewhat from watching my mother try to quit what a difficult thing it can be. Good luck to you, and you have my support for whenever you would like to assign it.

Ok, well, this is 10 minutes early, but I’m not going anywhere and have no cigs. Falcon, looks like I made it through your day w/o smoking. Andygirl, you got Monday. Sometime soon I’ll go through and assign everyone a day, but not tonight.

So Monday, I will not smoke for Andygirl.

Hey, I’ll sponsor ya anytime, any day of the week.

Good job Dave. Good Day.

Go, Dave, Go!!!
I can’t promise to sponsor you, because I’m not always here, but you sure have my best thoughts and wishes.

OK, Dave, I’ll sponsor you for next Wedensday, the 22nd.

I’m partial to wintergreen Altoids myself.

HeHe. Got a tin of wintergreen Altoids sitting right here. Did you know that 3 wintergreen altoids have 10 calories? And I MUST go to bed. I am up cuz I played SIMS too long. Damn addicting game!

And while I would be ahppy to be sponsor-for-a-day, i would be even happier to offer you some really important tips about what works.

I smoked 2 packs a day for 26 years. I tried to quit three times before this, and every time was a nightmare. IMagine all the horrible stories of how awful it is and what a basket case you are and that was me x 3, using the patch, no less, so its not like I was having physical withdrawal, I wasn’t.

But THIS time, I quit without the patch, without Zyban, without anything. I also quit coffee the same day.

Apart from about 10 days of deep fatigue while my body dealt with life without stimulants, I FEEL GREAT. It was frighteningly easy. Within days I was absolutely certain that I was done for sure, it was over, I was free. Within maybe 2 weeks I was at the point where I didn’t even get auto-urges, except for a moment or two each day.

My life was transformed in ways I never expected.

I am a non-smoker. I never think about it, I’m totally happy, and still amazed.

There’s a book, but it’s very hard to get. However, I know it made the difference between joyful freedom from nicotine addicted slavery and miserable failiure, or even success tainted with the misery of imagining that I missed it.
Read about it here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0140277633/202-0790354-0912638

Note the UK address…it’s not readily available here. (I found it on the remainder table at B. Dalton a year ago) But if you want the experience I had, this is a place to start to try and find it.

Good luck. It’s a wonderful feeling to be free. And I am.

Stoid

I’ll sponsor, Dave. I’m here most all day every day, so just let me know what day is open.

I hate you!

Go, Dave,Go! Go, Dave,Go! Go, Dave,Go!

You can do it, baby!!! Remember, all the icky cravings will pass!!!

Go, Dave,Go! Go, Dave,Go! Go, Dave,Go!

I’m rooting for ya, Dave! Kick this thing and get on with a long, healthy life! I won’t offer advice or ancedotes, but I’ll send positive vibes your way. Good on ya!!!

I cannot offer to sponsor, but I can assure you that you can do it and will feel better in every way as a result.

I smoked approximately a pack a day for better than forty years before I quit.

I’ll sponsor 'ya, Dave! I’ve never smoked, but after years of watching friends and family try to quite, I sure do sympathize with you.

Just name a day, and I’ll be there.

Um, try to quit. Too early…

I know that you can quit. I can’t sponsor you during the week because I can’t always be on the computer, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers. If you need encouragement on the weekend, I can help then.

I smoked for 18 years over a pack a day and I quit cold turkey six years ago in October. If I can…you can.

Keep on, keepin on! Way to go. I did the same thing a year and 4+ months ago. It sucked for about two weeks, then became much easier. If you need another day covered, let me know a date.

Since Dave’s probably a little on edge to be doing compilations by himself :D, I thought I’d make it easy for him (okay, and us, sponsors) to keep track. I started by listing one month from his quit date and filled in those who called days. Since no one claimed Sunday, I took it myself! So please, Dave, for lil’ol me…don’t smoke next Sunday.
