Ok, let me try this again...

I tried this in MPSIMS, and it didn’t work out to good. So I’m trying it over here.
I have a final coming up for Honor’s History. yes it’s important, yes I wish to get an A on it. I realize in the scheme of things it’s not the most important thing ever, but right now it is to me. So bear with me.
I need someone who has a first hand experience with a signifigant historical happening. I don’t care what it is as long as you were PHYSICALLY THERE, it’s interesting, and it had some part of history. Please, either message here, or send me an email at pepperlandgirl@yahoo.com I’m going to need a LOT of info, so don’t respond if you don’t want to spend some time emailing me and talking to me etc etc.
Thanks again!

I was there at the JFK assasination. I seem to remember I was crouching behind a grassy knoll…

I saw Michael Jordan hit his first double in professional baseball. Also from a grassy knoll…

I was there when pepperlandgirl started her first historical inquiry.

Work is the curse of the drinking classes. (Oscar Wilde)

Pleased to meet you, pepperlandgirl.
Here’s my credentials :

I stuck around St. Petersberg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general’s rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made

I shouted out
“Who killed the Kennedys?”
When after all
It was you and me

Oh wait, that was someone else. Maybe you should ask Mick Jagger for help on the project.

I suppose that watching the 45 MPH OJ Simpson car chase on TV doesn’t count.

Real events here. Interesting? Up to you to decide:
[ul][li]Pres. Bush’s Inaugural ceremony, 1/20/89.[/li][li]Gorbachev’s first visit to the US. I stood outside the Soviet Embassy to see if I could glimpse him. Sadly, I didn’t.[/li][li]NARAL rally on the DC Mall with a couple of hundred thousand people.[/li][li]The first Beach Boys concert on the Mall, 7/4/84[/ul][/li]

Well, I watched the Challenger explode (from the ground). Unfortunately (for you) people who saw it on T.V. probably know more about it than I do.

Umm…I was outside the couthouse when Timothy McVeigh was convicted. But that wasn’t very interesting…

Oh, wow, Satan is actually Mick Jagger!

That is so cool.

I believe OpalCat was actually watching the Challenger take off in person. I could be wrong, though.

“NARAL rally on the DC Mall with a couple of hundred thousand people”
AWB, this seems interesting. What and when was it?

The First Lady of Botswana visited my father’s chicken farm as a part of an agricultural exchange back in the '80s. Until then, I had no idea they grew chickens in South Africa.

I was on the field during The Play.

… Of course, I didn’t see much. Too much Stanfurd Band in the way.

I was within 11 miles of the prison, when Jeffery Dahmner was killed.

My best friend comes from the town where Ed Geine made his furniture and suits. Their family refused to exhume any of their close relatives, fearing what might not be there.

I saw the Ramones at CBGB’s in the 70s. The Cramps were there, too. I feel rather shy about being interviewed, though. But if you’d just like my autograph…
