Actually, since her father passed away, her big brother took over certain paternal responsibilities. I wanted to ask him first. Since we had just met this past Friday, I wanted to give the guy a chance to get to know me a LITTLE bit. I wanted to ask him Sunday night and go then, but what with Cool Hand Luke and the hot tub…. So, I asked him for his baby sister’s hand in marriage Monday morning at breakfast, and the ensuing happiness and hugging was kinda busy, and then we had to leave for the airport, went through security for the first time together (it was SO romantic), and grabbed a bite. It was the first quiet moment since I got the blessing from the Big Brother!

**D) There was some other guy seven seats over who’d just proposed to HIS girlfriend, and Bill wanted to let the air settle a bit before HE had his big moment? **
We immediately had two young women come over and ask her “Did you say yes?”, then another woman started gushing about how it was the best thing that ever happened to her, and she wished us the best. The SAD part was we were not on the same flight (gosh-darn you, USAirways!)

**E) He wanted the flight crew to see it so you’d be showered with champagne all the way home, not to mention a set of those amazingly cool plastic “wings” they give to new fiancees and small children? **
