I see them on the grocery shelf. Canned (or bottled) whatever…by Hormel. Who the hell is eating these gross assed things? Huh somebody just answer me that question and I will be happy.
I wanna know who or what eats the pig’s brains in mikg gravy.
Wanna rephrase that CP? Milk gravy? Never heard of it but it sounds yummy.
Probably subconciously trying to spell milch. ;j
My grandmother used to eat them…blech! I’m not about pig brains OR feet, but I certainly love me some pork rinds! Yumm-mmy!
Is there a part of the pig that does not get used?
pigs brain’t are eaten fried on sandwiches, by my mother, not by me.
My guess is they’re a delicacy somewhere. Stereotypically I’m thinking the South. IIRC one of the guys on MASH used to eat them, among other things.
And I believe what you mean here is “Who the hell is eating these gross-hooved things?” because the OP is clearly about feet, not asses.
::running::
My dad eats them alond side his cow tongue. blech.
Remember in Gone With The Wind Scarlet returns to Tara and all there is to eat is horse radish?
The Oink. I’m serious about that.
Partially right. I think they are a component of “Soul Food”. I’ve never come close to the things. Ugh
All but the oink is right. My husband is an accountant and used to work in a pork-processing plant. He called me one day when he came upon entries for … drum roll … frozen bung. As in hole.
Oh yeah … Anyone who thinks pigs feet are gross: I’d like to introduce you to a lil ole delicacy called chittlins.
ohhhh mamy Ellen tell us what them chittlins is.
That’s pig fat sorta burned and sorta not, right? Yeah, I have heard of that, if that’s what it is.
As I said in the brie thread, there are only two things I’ve seen and won’t eat (b/c I don’t like the taste, not due to allergies): liver and raw sewage.
Actually it is intestines.
Of course, they wrap sausage in them and stuff.
I live and work in Asia.
If you think pigsfeet is bad, you haven’t seen anything!
Niceguyjack don’t keep us hanging…what is anything?
When i was in Germany last year, my favorite dish was Schwinehaxen (sorry if I spelled that wrong). It’s essentially deep-fried pig’s feet in a rich brown sauce. It was served with a knoedle, which is a potatoey dumpling that is heaven.
