Old Arcade Game - Help

This is gonna sound odd, but I want to know the name of an arcade game that I used to play in '90 - '91. I have called the arcade and explained it to them, but they say they can’t remember…

Anyhoo, the game was one where you had to move a cursor (image, spacehip, whatever) to make a series of rectangles. When another cursor (a computer controlled one hit the line you were drawing, you were killed, unless you had gone full circle, and surrounded a piece of the background completely. If you had, the background turned from black into a piece of a picture.

The pictures were all different, I remember - different ones for different levels. The idea was to “cut-out” sections of the background with your cursor and so, piece by piece, you slowly revealed the background picture.

All I need is the title of this game. I’m sorry that I can’t describe the game better…

Can anyone help - pleeeease??? This has been bugging me for a decade.

Thanks a million all…

It sounds like ‘Tron’ to me.

Tron, eh? I might have a look on the web and see…

Thanks…

Sorry ** MCMoS ** - definately not “Tron”… any other ideas…

Thanks though.

Sounds like Super Qix .

I played the original Qix quite a bit, but never saw Super Qix. The background picture thing threw me off a bit.

Thanks a million - I think that’s it… I’ll have a closer look… :@)

That’s it. Thanks all.
