In the 80’s, I spent every lunch hour for two months playing an arcade game called Mad Planets. It was a variation of Asteroids, but for some reason I found it very addicting. I pumped a lot of quarters into it, to the point of getting tendonitis in my right arm.
Anybody else care to share tales of misspent youth at the arcades? What game did you play the most?
A pinball game named Gorgar. It was the first talking machine It would start off by saying"Me Gorgar, me Mean. It also had an electronic heartbeat sound that would get faster as the game went along. What a fantastic pinball game. If someone recreated it for the computer I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

There was one called Pleides that my friends and I would play for hours.
There was another one, that featured a talking alien (I recall he would say “So, a creature for my amusement. Prepare for battle!”), but I can’t remember the name of it. (Anybody know?)
Centipede. It was the only one where I could last long enough to get my quarter’s worth. Have it on Atari 2600, but it’s not the same without that track ball.
Pac-Man
Super Pac-Man
Ms. Pac-Man
Crazy Climber
Frogger
Qix
Burger Time
Donkey Kong
And please help me. I loved a game in which you were a paint roller and had to outline blocks within a larger block. Once you outlined them, they would be colored in. I can’t remember much else about it. Does anyone remember this game, and more importantly, what its name is?
I still play Galaga every chance I get and I still get one of the highest scores. On pac man and ms. pac man I used to play both so much that I knew the pattern of the game and ALWAYS won. I used to have all three in the table top versions also.
I think it was called Warriors. You needed to have two players, and they were fighting each other with these BF swords, two-handed, like samurai swords. It was a best of five match, I think.
I loved the old Star Wars game, and of course I dropped a small fortune in the original Pac Man, but my favorites were actually pinball machines. Eight Ball Deluxe and Xenon were the tables I played most.
