Why is it, that when watching black-and-white movies on my TV, I often see areas of subtle color, usually lavender and yellow?
Odd colors could result from misconvergence, screen/drive misadjustment, or other faults within the set. If the source isn’t an air antenna or CATV, but instead a VCR, try another VCR to rule out problems re how that piece of equipment is replaying the tape.
