Old comedy routine with stupid "magic" tricks -

Does anyone remember the old comedy magic trick routine from the sixties or seventies where the guy would sing his own background music and do stupid things like form two circles with his thumbs and index fingers, put his hands behind his head them bring them out interlocked, or hold up one finger, smack his hands together and move the finger to the other hand? It was very stupid and very funny.

Does anyone remember this guy? I tried searching youtube but could not find him. This is a long-shot, I know, but you guys have never failed me yet!

The comic was Art Metrano. The tune he hummed was “Fine and Dandy.”

Viola!

Orsino!

Great searching, guys! I was showing these to my little grand nephew and he was cracking up. Muchas gracias!

Glad you enjoyed it. I’d’ve answered sooner, but I was AFK.

Metrano was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show because Johnny Carson loved his act. I wouldn’t have known the name of the tune if I hadn’t read an article on Metrano in TV Guide or someplace back around 1972 or '73.

Art was one of the stars in a short-lived gangster comedy series called The Chicago Teddy Bears back in the early '70s:

Just look at that great cast!

Art Metrano totally fucking rocks!

I still do parts of this bit, complete with the background music.

My brother used to do this. I thought it was great!
