Two things to share here.

  1. I turned down a fortune in fees because I refused to work with Wu Tan Clan. They have posse members who adore guns, in addition to other illegal hobbies. On a previous music video shoot, a friend of the band’s had shot up a Winnebago, then fled. Leaving the Producers to deal with infuriated cops and freaked out crew members. To be blunt, fuck that shit. They glorify ever single element of negative imagery commonly connected to hip-hop.

I’d have grossed over $ 4,000 and sold my soul to the devil in the process. I don’t work for drug money, and so there I drew the line. I knew the fellow they hired. He said it was a horrid disaster. ( I have shot dozens of music videos, many rappers…but those guy? Uh uh. )

  1. Today at work, we had two Israeli college basketball players on for an interview. The host- trying to “connect” to the youths by talking about hip-hop and rap, said " Did you hear that Old Dirty Bastard died? "

To which one of the boys replied, " Yeah, Araft. A few days ago. Why? "

Good for a hilarious laugh. Talk about a culture gap…
