Old performers you'll be sorry to see go

As much action as the Death Pools get, and without trying to muscle in on that territory as such, I’m curious which old and still active entertainers you will really miss when they leave us.

Some of my favorites who continue to provide great music are:

Jean “Toots” Thielemans perhaps the greatest harmonica player in the jazz field. Also guitar and whistling.

Marian McPartland. Piano

Dave Brubeck. Piano

George Shearing. Piano

Horace Silver. Piano

Dozens more, but I’ll leave room for yours.

I’ll be very sad when Paul or Ringo dies, and absolutely devasted when the last Beatle dies.

And Bob Dylan & Joan Baez.

Earl Scruggs - banjo innovator and virtuoso performer.

Jerry Lee Lewis - Given his lifestyle, who would’ve thought he’d be the last surviving member of the Sun Records “Million Dollar Quartet”?

Yeah, I was just thinkin’ that about Dave Brubeck the other day.
