Beyond
the rim of the star-light,
my love
is wand’ring in star-flight.
I know
he’ll find in star-clustered reaches
love,
strange love a star-woman teaches.
I know
his journey ends never,
his star trek will go on forever.
But tell him
while he wanders his starry sea,
remember,
remember me!
Tom Swift, no?
and our burgers can’t be beat cause we grind our own meat, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind
If Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble
Think they’re not in a lot of trouble
They’re out of their mind, mind, mind, mind, mind
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder
fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog
“Tweet tweet, twiddle twiddle…there’s only one candy with the hole in the middle.”
When I worked at McD’s (1987-89) I knew the song they had but I’ve since forgotten it. Starts with “Big Mac McDLT Quarter Pounder with cheese…” and lists everything that was on the menu back then.
So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin
Smilers (?) never lose and frowners never win
So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin
Open up your heart and let the sun…shine…in. (Let the sun shine in!)
Oh, please–lyrics to theme from Star Trek
Just the last three lines:
As we listen for his call:
“Here I come to save the day.”
Remember Mighty Mouse is on his way!
When MM first came out, he was “Super Mouse.” Til the “Superman” people threatened legal action, then the soundtrack was doctored. If you listen very closely to the Origin episode, you’ll hear the announcer say, “It’s Su-Mighty Mouse,” I kid you not.
“Willie Gilligan’s ‘Hamlet’” (Not to be confused with “Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’” or “Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’”)
To be fair, those are AWFUL lyrics and have been embedded in my brain since the first time I read “Making of ‘Star Trek,’” back in the mid-'70s. So you gave nothing away, I :shudder: recognized them from the first word (where’s the ‘nausea’ smilie?).
“Get set! Get ready!
Here come _______ and ________!
They’re tough but steady,
always ________ and ________!
They sometimes have their little spats,
even fight like dogs and cats,
but when they need each other that’s
when they’re _______ and ________!”
