Old TV themes/commercials you can sing from memory

Well, I got the time frame right.

Top this:

Beyond
the rim of the star-light,
my love
is wand’ring in star-flight.
I know
he’ll find in star-clustered reaches
love,
strange love a star-woman teaches.
I know
his journey ends never,
his star trek will go on forever.
But tell him
while he wanders his starry sea,
remember,
remember me!

Correct. Don’t feel bad, terentii, you got all the others right.

I’m in love with the dragon’s dinner
The dragon’s embraceable dinner

Crazy underwear creepin’ up my butt
Crazy underwear always in a rut

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly

Marcy Grossman is sunshine on a cloudy day
When it’s cold outside Marcy Grossman is the month of may

K - E - L- L - Y
Why? Because you’re Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly of mine

Tom Swift, no?
and our burgers can’t be beat cause we grind our own meat, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind

If Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble
Think they’re not in a lot of trouble
They’re out of their mind, mind, mind, mind, mind
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder
fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog

Howard in Big Bang Theory.

But do you have an aardvark?

Does anybody here have an aardvark?

“Cross the rainbow bridge of Asgard
Where the booming heavens roar”

“Doc Bruce Banner, belted by gamma rays,
Turned into the Hulk…ain’t he unglamorous!”

“Tony Stark makes you feel
He’s a cool exec with a heart of steel”

“When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield”

How about this one?

“Bigger than big, taller than tall,
Quicker than quick, stronger than strong
Ready to fight for right against wrong”

I know a few as well but one I continue to sing, especially when I have an earworm with some distasteful tune is the theme to Rawhide.

Rollin’ rollin’ rollin’.
Though the streams are swollen.
Keep them doggies rollin, raw-hide.
Through rain and wind and weather,
hell bent for leather…

And yes, I did watch the original airings of the show.

BTW: Does anyone know the lyrics to Mighty Mouse?

The only part of MM I know is “here I come to save the dayyyyyy”, courtesy of an SNL skit with Andy Kaufman.

“Tweet tweet, twiddle twiddle…there’s only one candy with the hole in the middle.”

When I worked at McD’s (1987-89) I knew the song they had but I’ve since forgotten it. Starts with “Big Mac McDLT Quarter Pounder with cheese…” and lists everything that was on the menu back then.

I ask to be, or not to be.
That is the question I ask of me…
Neither a borrower nor a lender be.
Do not forget: Keep out of debt.

Gee whiz, willikins, golly gee.
Who’s the prettiest thing you see?
Gee whiz, willikins, golly gee.
Oh, I love a girl, and she loves me.

Happy, and peppy, and bursting with love! (Tap tap!)
Dancing and singing to heavens above! (Tap tap!)

Jumping, rolling, like a little pup. (Arf arf!)
If they knock me down, I’m gonna bounce back up!

Hamlet Hamlet do be a lamb let rotten enough alone
From Ophelia no one can steal ya
You’ll always be my own

Felix Unger!

Sorry, folks, REALLY rough night, just got up!

Down to business:

So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin
Smilers (?) never lose and frowners never win
So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin
Open up your heart and let the sun…shine…in. (Let the sun shine in!)

Oh, please–lyrics to theme from Star Trek

Just the last three lines:

As we listen for his call:
“Here I come to save the day.”
Remember Mighty Mouse is on his way!

When MM first came out, he was “Super Mouse.” Til the “Superman” people threatened legal action, then the soundtrack was doctored. If you listen very closely to the Origin episode, you’ll hear the announcer say, “It’s Su-Mighty Mouse,” I kid you not.

“Willie Gilligan’s ‘Hamlet’” (Not to be confused with “Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’” or “Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’”)

Damn! The words “star trek” must have given it away!

What TV show was “A Bob Clam-pett car-too-oon”?

To be fair, those are AWFUL lyrics and have been embedded in my brain since the first time I read “Making of ‘Star Trek,’” back in the mid-'70s. So you gave nothing away, I :shudder: recognized them from the first word (where’s the ‘nausea’ smilie?).

“Get set! Get ready!
Here come _______ and ________!
They’re tough but steady,
always ________ and ________!
They sometimes have their little spats,
even fight like dogs and cats,
but when they need each other that’s
when they’re _______ and ________!”
