I remember a little about it-it goes like this:
A guy and his wife wake up one night-their daughter is missing from the house. They can hear her crying-they cannot find her. In desperation, the guy calls up his friend (a mathematician from a local university)-the guy comes over and starts spouting some mathematical gobbledygook about “other dimensions”-it seems the child has slipped into the next dimension (or something like that).
In any event, they find out where the “wormhole” is-and resce the child-just as the wormhole is closing up. What was the episode called-and what was the great moral lesson of it?

Other-dimension moral lessons can be tricky.
Scared the hell out of me when I was little–I moved my bed away from the wall!
To me, the moral lesson is that we live in a dangerous world, and sometimes people (especially children) can be put in jeopardy through no one’s fault.
Thanks! I wasn’t sure of the title. At any rate, this is something for house hunters to be arae of..portals to another dimension, lurking in the bedroom!
It’s like something out of that twilighty show about that zone!
Take that, ya lousy dimension!
ooooh, sexy cakes…
That episode formed the basis of a joke the spouse and I still have. Basically it’s “can’t find something–somebody…oh, it must be in another dimension!” It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the ep but I do seem to recall they went to the “she’s in another dimension” hypothesis way faster than they should have.
I wish I’d read that book by that wheelchair guy
In the next dimension, he’s “segway guy”.
Watching the clip-it made me realize- DO NOT put yor hand through a wall-you might not escape!
That mathematician was neat though-he knew all about the 4th dimension.
I have a portal like that in my apartment. My socks use it all the time.
I just watched that episode a few days ago. Pretty freaky. Good think the father’s friend was a scientist and could come over in the middle of the night to help.
Eh, what else does a scientist have going on?
