Old Twilight Zone episodes- In 3D?

I’m typing as fast as I can so you van see an example of what I’m talking about. Watch the Sci Fi channel as an example of what I’m talking about will end in 10 minutes.

The episode I’m referring to above is with Billy Mumy and it’s titled “Long Distance Call”.

I’ve probably seen almost all of the old Twilight Zone episodes, and there are about four episodes filmed where you can judge depth. What is that technique called and why didn’t it become popular? It’s pretty cool!

Nothing to exotic as 3-D: they were done on videotape (I assume you mean “Long Distance Call”). Most TZ episodes were filmed, but a handful were done this way.

You can see the difference in some Monty Python episodes where they use both techniques.

Video had a sharper, more focused look than film of the time.

Since this is really more of an Arts question? lets go to Cafe Society.

There was a thread in GQ about film vs. video and how it looks on TV. My first search didn’t work and now that you have to wait 5 minutes between searches I don’t have the patience to try again.
