Actually, I think we’re making fun of Oliver Stone for being a numbnuts of collossal proportions. Human rights abuses are ancillary to the topic.
Can’t argue with that.

I don’t mean to sound like a complete simpleton, but if America is so evil and Castro is so wonderful then why aren’t there more rubber rafts and innertubes taking people TO Cuba from America? (Oh wait… it’s because Americans are free to go anywhere they damned well please, unlike some people who are so happy where they are that armed guards will stop them.)
I really liked Robert Duvall’s calling of shenanigans when he was interviewed on 60 Minutes and was asked about Spielberg’s meeting with/praise of Castro.
Unless, of course, it pleases them to go to Cuba.
Americans are completely allowed to relocate and or renounce their citizenship and could do so as easily as driving to Canada and hopping a flight to Havana.
And Chinese or Cubans are allowed to renounce their citizenship and go into exile and then criticize their governments as much as they want but I would say a person should not have to renounce his citizenship and rights in order to exercise some other basic rights. Just my humble opinion.
