Olympic audience response to Iraq/Iran

During the opening ceremonies, the audience greeted the Iraqi athletes with applause and cheers. They sounded very different when the Irani athletes appeared . . . a “darker” sound, but it didn’t sound like booing . . . or at least not the way *we *make our disapproval known. And the Chinese are supposedly too polite to do that anyway. So how did they, in fact, respond to the Irani athletes?
