CPS definitely stepped in. There were medical exams of some sort that the mother was not informed about which really upset and angered her. I’m not aware of all the details, and some of them have gotten fuzzy over the decades, but the woman abruptly decided she had to move. This was in no small part to her oldest kid being placed with her grandmother (think that kid was ready and willing to turn on her monster of a mother). Her one mistake (from her viewpoint) was enlisting my best friend and I to help her do this. From the viewpoint of CPS she abruptly dropped off the map and, when my friend and I followed up, they said they couldn’t do anything because they couldn’t locate her. We said oh, we can help you with that and gave them her new address.
Last I heard she lit out for Colorado with the two youngest of the three she had after which we just don’t know what happened to them. The eldest, though, wound up getting legally emancipated at 16 or 17 after being left behind at her grandmother’s. So… we got one of the kids out of the situation. Which wasn’t an entirely happy ending due to the psychological problems the girl had.
This was back in the late 70’s when we didn’t have things like social media and it was a lot easier to drop out of sight.
Getting funding to modify the prison (or their procedures) is a slow process. Give them a year or three to find some experts connected to the governor’s brother to be given the job.
Former six-term Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney sinks to new bigoted depths, promoting an anti-Semitic livestream co-hosted by David Duke.
"She posted a graphic of a livestream event titled “Can Black People And White People Work Together To Defeat Our Common Enemy?” The graphic prominently displays the Star of David and superimposes it upon a picture of the September 11, 2011 terror attacks on the World Trade Center.
“I know where I’ll be and what I’ll be watching at 6:00 pm EASTERN time today!” McKinney wrote on Twitter.
The event will presumably feature speakers Ayo Kimathi — author of a book titled, “Jews Are The Problem,” and David Duke, the former leader of of the Ku Klux Klan."
Upset that the event got canceled by whatever platform(s) that was planning to host it, McKinney is protesting that it’s a “First Amendment” violation.
It’s crazy how long Danelo Cavalcante has eluded the PA cops. The guy is slippery as an eel. I can’t imagine how they’ll hold him if they capture him again.
We discussed over dinner last night what we would do if he showed up at our door. It actually would be interesting to chat over dinner with him and hear about his experiences.
“Residents in the area are asked to lock all external doors and windows, secure vehicles, and remain indoors.”
OK, but we’ve never locked our doors (no keys) and the horses need to be cared for.
Actually, we’re in western Pennsylvania and he is in the eastern part of the state. If he did show up here and demanded a soda, we wouldn’t understand what he wanted.
