Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread

Louisiana is the only state in the US that has physical castration as a legal punishment, and it was only instituted recently. One of the people who drafted the bill was a Democrat.

NPR: What to know about Louisiana’s new surgical castration law

One of the drafters of the bill, Democratic state Rep. Delisha Boyd, told NPR the law will be a strong deterrent for would-be child sex abusers and would protect children.

“Some of the critics say, you know, that’s cruel and unusual punishment. Well, I disagree. I think the cruel and usual punishment was the rape of that 5 year old," Boyd said.

Cutting off someone’s genitalia is certainly cruel, and as for being unusual?

The use of surgical castration as punishment, which is a permanent procedure that involves the surgical removal of the testicles or ovaries ostensibly to stop the production of sex hormones, is rare elsewhere around the world. The Czech Republic, Madagascar and a state in Nigeria have such laws on the books that have been strongly criticized by Amnesty International and other human rights organizations.

What a big fucking disappointment that woman is. And the defense of such an obviously unconstitutional law is “child rape is worse”. Really strong argument, idiot.

Mind you this is for a case where the offender is a would-be rapist. Their bloodlust extensds to the attempt.

And where does she get the idea that punishments provided for in law are actually deterrents? I don’t know about you, but it’s not the law that keeps from killing, stealing, raping, etc. my way through each and every day.

Assuming he doesn’t get parole, which seems like a fairly safe assumption, he’ll be 77 the next time he could possibly be around children. Does kind of seem like piling on.

They also minimized NOx which was the single largest contributor to photochemical smog, and the resultant power loss led the manufacturers to implement electronic fuel injection and actually put some effort into engine design which has had fuel economy benefits across the board, which in turn has allowed you, the average American, to continue to afford to drive a car.

Well, maybe not all of the results of putting catalytic converters on cars were good.

More evil from Oklahoma.

Wife kills her husband with acid.

A Florida man has died days after he was found screaming, locked in a room and doused in acid — allegedly by his wife who police claim called 911 to report the incident.

The victim, Robert Heyden, was attacked in a New Port Richey, Fla. residence last week, the New Port Richey Police Department said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Police did not name the victim in their statement, but he was identified by the Tampa Bay Times.

Chuanying He was arrested in connection with Heyden’s killing, per police.

On Thursday, Aug. 21, New Port Richey police were alerted about a domestic disturbance and, upon responding to the location, found an adult male suffering from “severe injuries from a corrosive substance,” they said in their statement.

He was transported to a medical facility in nearby Tampa, but died early on Sunday morning, per authorities.

The officer responding to the incident alleged in an arrest affidavit that He had locked Heyden in the bedroom with a wooden bar and wire attached to the door lock, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

Heyden could be heard screaming inside the locked room when officers arrived, per WFLA, which cited investigators’ account.

Investigators determined the incident was “intentional in nature,” per their statement, and arrested He.

Police claim that He, who was identified by WFLA and the Tampa Bay Times as Heyden’s wife, told them she had tried to kill him.

Tried? Well, congratulations, He. You succeeded.

And I think I’m in a certain handbasket. As soon as I read the name of her, He, I thought That’s the criminal version of “Who’s on First”, or should be.

I assumed it was pronounced “heh” which ruins the comedic misunderstanding.

Two police officers killed in Australia, search underway for sovereign citizen.

I pity everyone in the criminal justice system involved in that trial.

North Carolina man doesn’t like the fact that a US citizen who happens to be Hispanic owns the business next to his house, so he puts up a sign telling Trump to ‘DEPORT THEM ALL’ and ‘START WITH MY NEIGHBORHOOD FIRST’

Sounds like he’s better and jealous because this guy is running a businesses in the spot what he wanted to run one. Instead of going before the zoning board to see if you can get it rezoned, he went full racist instead.

He said that years ago he wanted to operate a business on the property where Monkeys Garage is, but was told by previous town officials he couldn’t do so because it’s in a residential neighborhood.

But don’t worry, he’s actually not racist, in fact he “has tenants who are “Spanish,” Black, white and Muslim.” But he also said, referring to some car accidents in front of his house “involved drivers that he believed were not legally in the country because they didn’t speak English.”

I’m always amazed that people can be so convinced they’re right that they’ll say this stuff to a reporter.

Anyways, after going full racist over a zoning issue, what’s he going to do when the city tells up his sign violates their sign ordinance(s)? I wouldn’t be surprised if his name is back in the news when the city demands he takes the sign down and/or fines him.

They have already told him to take down the sign, but you just wait, he has an even better sign he is putting up next.

Perhaps they’ll luck out and the miscreant will commit suicide by cop when they catch up with him.

Do you mind expanding on which post you’re responding to, which trial you’re referring to, and why you think the folks in the trial deserve Pitting?

I’m not disagreeing w you; I simply don’t understand you. Perhaps I’m especially dense this evening.

Pity (for likely having to endure endless sov cit nuttery during the trial) rather than pit.

Mr. T on the SDMB!

“I PIT THE FOOL!”

The bloke accused of the Australian shooting of three cops (two deceased, one seriously injured) is still on the loose in the Victorian high-country. It’s bloody cold and wet up there, and two storm fronts are due to come raging in over the next couple of days. Either he’s holed up in a cave in the mountains, or he’s managed to escape via a vehicle, so no telling when they’ll capture him.

Dezi Freeman still on the run.

Or he’s soon to die of exposure if not already. One can hope, but evil jerks seem to have more lives than proverbial cats.

How cold does it get in Australia?
