it’d depend on whether he was found to be “the individual in charge”, I suppose.
Not that such a penalty is likely to be forthcoming.

Maybe he shouldn’t hire his security from Temu.
Forbes reports that Zuckerberg & family were not on the yacht and the yacht’s crew was operating on a different radio channel at the time.

Forbes reports that Zuckerberg & family were not on the yacht and the yacht’s crew was operating on a different radio channel at the time.
Seems to me that it’s pretty irresponsible to not be operating on the channel the Coast Guard uses to send out aid requests, and that a superyacht like Zuck’s ought to have a support crew capable of listening to multiple channels.
You mean “Forbes reports that Zuckerberg’s spokesman said…”
Forbes reports that Zuckerberg & family were not on the yacht.
So Zuckerberg rents it out to other people for cruises, like a nautical Airbnb?
Actually, that’s extremely common with superyachts.
Search the entire global luxury Yacht Charter Fleet (3,000+ yachts) find the best crewed superyachts & megayachts to rent for your dream private yacht vacation.
Or just lends it to friends and acquaintances. I’ve heard the superrich can be very generous - to other very rich people.
I wasn’t sure which thread to put this in, but just when Congressional village idiot Lauren Boebert’s family can’t sink any lower - well, hang on tight.

The son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was arrested Sunday on five felony charges, including three counts related to sexual exploitation of a child, following an investigation by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. Tyler Boebert,...

I have since read that Tyler Boebert, then 19, had sex with a 17-year-old girl in early 2024, AND filmed it without her consent and shared it as well, which makes it child pornography.
Assuming consent, the first half of that should not be a crime anywhere.
The latter half certainly should be a crime everywhere. And one that gets prosecuted, not ignored.
My understanding is that this is correct: the problem isn’t the sex per se but rather the non-consensual filming of sex with a minor and subsequent distribution.
I’m sure the latter is what makes it salaciously news- and scandal-worthy. And in a just world (hah!) prosecution-worthy.
What I don’t know is how much our poster scandalizes the former nor how much the laws in (presumably) CO criminalize the former.
Wouldn’t it also be a crime even if she were an adult? Filmed without consent then shared? Seems like multiple crimes.

I’m waiting for Mommy Bobert to use the “She was almost legal” defense.

They do not. 17 is the legal age of consent in Colorado. The sex was perfectly legal. The filming/distribution was the part that was not.
Winfield, Kansas, is a town of about 12,000. It is best known for hosting the annual Walnut Valley Festival, where bluegrass players of all stripes gather to make music each September.
Unfortunately, Winfield will now also be known as the place where a guy shot his four kids and their mother before taking his own life. Dude should have been in jail and certainly shouldn’t have had access to a gun.

KBI spokesperson Melissa Underwood confirmed at around 1:30 p.m. that the Winfield Police Department requested the KBI's assistance in a homicide investigation.
Gilroy, California is known as the home of a celebrated garlic festival. In the minds of many, it’s associated with something else.
On July 28, 2019, a mass shooting occurred at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California, United States. The gunman killed three people and wounded 17 others before killing himself after engaging in a shootout with responding police officers. As of 2020[update], investigators had not determined the motives of the gunman, identified as 19-year-old Santino William Legan. The FBI opened a domestic terrorism investigation into the incident. The Gilroy Garlic Festival was an annual three-day e...
Here in Kansas we don’t usually see events in the national news. I do remember many years ago about a shootout downtown in Topeka. My folks were in Vancouver on their way to Alaska, and were about to turn off the tv at the motel, that had the CBS news on. Then they heard Connie Chung, the anchor, say “Coming up next, shootout at the federal courthouse in Topeka, Kansas.”
