Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread

Detention? Shit, the kids who murdered that child will probably get go-fund-me accounts with $100,000 cash. That’s how things go these days.

Love your post there. I wish we had a thumbs up.

We do. In the emoji menu.

This site, at least, defines it as,

a person whose gender identity does not comfortably fit in the Male/Female binary

This person says,

In really simple terms, a non-binary person is someone who does not identify as exclusively a man or a woman. Someone who is non-binary might feel like a mix of genders, or like they have no gender at all.

Personally, I identify outside of the gender binary entirely. I am not a boy or girl at all. Some other non-binary people might identify partially with one or more of the binary genders – for example, a gender-fluid person (someone whose gender changes over time) who identifies as a girl sometimes and genderless other times. There are so many different ways to be non-binary, and we’re all still valid and real!

Yet another site (PDF) a differently-worded definition.

“Non-binary” could also mean that they consider themselves male in some way but female in other ways, or that they consider themself to be firmly one particular gender, but a gender other than male or female, or that they reject the existence of the entire notion of gender, among other possibilities. Some NB people might consider themselves trans, and some trans people might consider themselves NB, but it’s quite possible to be one without the other. And, of course, all too many members of society at large lump both NB and trans people together into the category of “people who need to be beat up”.

I nominate the Russian hackers who attacked the British Library. Leave libraries alone, you jerks!

The link unfortunately goes to a paywalled commentary in the Boston Globe, but the essence is that, even as Steward Healthcare’s hospitals teeter on the brink of financial collapse, with vendors repossessing equipment amid piles of unpaid bills and hospital staff being cut, the Steward CEO zips around the world on one of two luxury private jets, when he’s not on his $40 million superyacht or his “most sophisticated sportfish boat ever built (cost: more than $15 million)”.

As the comment puts it: “Not to put too fine a point on it, but having a Falcon 2000LX as a spare jet is like having a Bentley as the beater you take to the town dump.”

Further:

You, like me, might be wondering why a for-profit health care system with particularly fragile hospitals often located in low income communities might choose to spend tens of millions of dollars to own and operate two fabulously luxurious private jets, especially when the company is headquartered in a major airline hub like Dallas that has nonstop flights to virtually any destination that any normal person would want or need to go.

Sen. Tom Woods said that his heart went out to Benedict’s family, but that regarding LGBTQ identity generally, “We are a religious state. We are going to fight to keep that filth out of the state of Oklahoma, because we’re a Christian state. We’re a rural state. We want to lower taxes, and for people to live and work, and to go to the faith they choose.”

As long as that faith is the correct Christianity right Tom?

I’m a Christian, pretty devout, and it really burns me that people like Tom Woods give a bad name to the faith I hold, using it as a political tool.

Thinking about it, it was refreshing to see Tom drop the mask and not say it’s a Judeo-Christian state.

Tommy is obviously unfit for office given he’s completely unaware of this nifty thing known as the constitution. But, hey, that just means he’s yet another repulbican today.

People such as you and (I like to think) I follow the faith of Christianity. Woods pushes it. Saint James had a wee bit to say about that.

There’s no such thing as Judeo-Christian. Those clowns always mean Christian when they use that expression.

I thought that was just a Christian who knows martial arts.

“I kick ass for the Lord!”

and I’m all out of Lord.

I laughed far too long and far too loudly at this. Actually, I laughed long and loudly at this. Which, of course, is the appropriate reaction.

At the moment, both Lauren Boebert and Satan are trending on Twitter/X.

Cage match!

Does Twitter allow the same person to have multiple accounts like that?

Satan would never sully himself like that. Even He has standards.
