When Twister goes terribly wrong…
I laughed.
Yes, I can.
Right foot…bluish-grey!
“Multiple arms” … Y’know, if they can tell it was just two people, the possible number of arms greater-than-one is kind of limited. I can see that in subsequent revisions of the story they did specifically account for how many.
Because the sentence started with singular head and leg?
Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife are facing new obstruction charges in their bribery case.
Now there’s a word that brings back memories of a more famous corruption/conspiracy case. During Watergate, excuses were made for the actions of Nixon’s henchmen on the grounds that they were merely “overzealous”.
Stop looking so hard, damn it!
This is from a number of days ago but I just ran across it today and thought it belonged here.
A few more details here:
I am so happy my kids are grown up.
As one of the stories says, “Representatives from investigating and prosecuting agencies refused to comment on the case, including any explanation for the 6-month lag time between the reported incident and the suspect’s arrest.” I’m curious what happened to cause the delay.
Police have not speculated on a motive.

I got one: HE’S A FUCKING PEDOPHILE.
Two men plotted to kill the child of an ex. A lot of wild, extreme plots here before they settled on a bomb. So much anger.
The explosion happened 14 months ago. I guess it took this long for the Feds to figure everything out. Which is a little surprising to me, since from the article both of these guys seem to be a large number of bricks short of a load.
Conspire to shoot arrows at her front door? Had they been watching an episode of Robin Hood? Did they imagine it happening with “twang” sound effects? They did manage to blow up the house, although without hurting anyone.
There are some truly sick fucks out there.
Waiting to hear the motive in this case.
Was it a case of an HOA dispute gone bad?
Sounds like the precipitating issue was “child of an ex-”.
Imagine Bob is SO or married to Jane. Jane turns up pregnant in a way that it’s definitely not Bob’s doing. Bob is incensed and they split up. The ultimate revenge Bob can imagine is to kill the illegit spawn that “ruined his relationship” in his warped POV. Whether the deed is down while spawn is an infant or several years later. Plus killing Jane the mom / ex- if that can be arranged. But in that order so Jane can experience knowing spawn is dead first.
Sounds like pretty much standard uncivilized human behavior. I’m confident there’s an episode of Game of Thrones (or of Shakespeare) with the same plot line.
I can buy that type of obsession. But being able to rope another person in on it? That’s just weird.
