Yep. The doctor who did the paperwork looked over her history and found that shed historically had cancer. Naming COVID would have reflected badly on the facility, which employed him.
Interestingly, recent genetic studies suggest that most health care-associated infections are caused by previously harmless bacteria that patients already had on their bodies before they even entered the hospital.
Hospital Infections. Note that the article title is misleading, as the study covers more than surgical infections.
“Research comparing bacteria in the microbiome – those colonizing our noses, skin and other areas of the body – with the bacteria that cause pneumonia, diarrhea, bloodstream infections, and surgical site infections shows that the bacteria living innocuously on our own bodies when we’re healthy are most often responsible for these bad infections when we’re sick.”
Back when I did circumcisions (with nerve blocks!) the joke was that we docs got to keep the tips. Save up enough and you can make a wallet out of 'em. Rub the wallet and it would turn into a suitcase.
One of my friends did medical biochemistry research for her PhD, specifically cancer. Because circumsision is relatively common in RSA, they were a great source of the stem cells that she needed.
Because she also has a really sharp and sarcastic sense of humour, I think I may have heard every possible bad joke about penises there could possibly be.
You laugh… but if the walls could be reinforced, tape added to the windows, cameras added to outside walls, and a ball turret added to the top ( for more cameras, of course ) I’d take it…
Some impulsive bastards take sedatives. Instead this guy had to try to drown people in a crapper. I can’t see how he will be able to plead not guilty when he was caught in the act.
