The idiot in the news article engaging in wishful thinking expects somebody else to grab the dog and do … something … with it and by magic later it’ll be taken care of properly by the proper people. To the degree they’re thinking of the dog at all by then.

Is it that all men would do this if rich, or is it that rich men tend to have tendencies that led them to be rich but also be depraved? I think it’s that old saying: “ Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” If I had astounding wealth would I indulge some vices? Possibly, but I wouldn’t become a monster. I think those men would still be who they are even if they were nobodies.
I want to say “confirmation bias” but that’s probably not the correct term. What you’re seeing is depraved people who happen to have the funds and opportunity to indulge in their depravity. That doesn’t mean every, or even a majority, of rich men doing these depraved things.
I’ve often wondered this. I think it has a lot to do with how you were raised. Some guys are just entitled pricks no matter how much money they have, and some guys (most guys?) are moral people who no amount of money would change.
I mean, would I hire 200 people in skunk costumes to parade outside of a Trump rally if I had Elon’s dough? Of course. I’m not a saint. 
Yeah, it’s probably about the same percentage as in the population at large, just that portion of middle-class men don’t have the wherewithal to make it happen.

This isn’t something I have thought about a lot, but I’m glad to hear from people that have that this is a unique population that would be horrible humans no matter what and it’s not all. But, also sad to think there is an extremely HUGE amount of males that would do this if they had the funds.
What is the population of extremely rich guys that have done this sort of shit? Can we extrapolate to the rest of the non-1%? I’m guessing there are plenty of sociology studies on this that I am ignorant of.
